Unreleased Games

1998 marks the release of Windows 98 (big shock, I know) and the Japanese release of the then-prolific Sega Dreamcast. The Game Boy finally gets an upgrade that's full of Color. As for actual games, this year saw the release of the critically-acclaimed Metal Gear Solid for the PlayStation, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Banjo-Kazooie for the Nintendo 64, and Half-Life for Windows. The SNES and Genesis bid farewell to the US market, ending their epic seven-year console war with a rather anticlimactic resolution.

No matter what system you owned, it was a big year.
