While countless video games have been released over the decades, just as many - if not more - have not.

Some such unreleased titles had been announced by the developer or intended publisher (ranging from a single mention in a list of upcoming games to sprawling coverage in magazines), while others weren't. In both cases, the games were shelved or cancelled for one reason or another, though said reasons aren't always known. The development state of such games prior to being scrapped range from proof-of-concept to fully finished.

This category contains unreleased games that have been found and released onto the internet. Many others have yet to surface, but hopefully one day they will.
