So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

Ehrgeiz: God Bless the Ring (often shortened to just Ehrgeiz) is the PlayStation port of the fighting game that features Final Fantasy guest characters.

Hmmm...

Unused Graphics

Hmmm...
To do:
Rip the stuff.
Careful, you'll lose an eye.
This page or section needs more images.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.

The game contains leftovers from DreamFactory's previous games, Tobal No. 1 and Tobal 2, and this game's arcade version. Some unused content include images showing stages not present in the final version and texts with early character names:

  • Eirie Ann
  • Wolf Girl Joe (Wolf Girl Jo)
  • Dan Guts (弾, possibly an early name of Han Daehan)
  • Heihachi Mishima (Tekken character; apparently the origin of Godhand's real name, Ken Mishima)
  • Devil Kazuya (Tekken character)
  • Tifa Lockheart (Misspelling of Tifa Lockhart)

Unused Character

Doggo's gonna kick your ass.

Character ID 00 is a dog named Rio that had briefly appeared in one of the arcade version's ranking screens, running away from Jo. Here, it has the same moves as Django and "?" (the final boss), but can't use Special Attacks.

Unused Quest Mode Items

ID Name Description Notes
120 Poison ! A potion that can't be used.
123 Koji's Ark Holds Koji's soul. While these arks are not unused, the player cannot keep them in the inventory and hence cannot see their names and descriptions.
124 Clair's Ark Holds Clair's soul.
126 Gargoyle Claws Contains minerals. Unused food that can't be used, but can be sold for a low 5 Gil.
128 Explosion Exploding Probably the Bomb (Item #127) when activated by the player. As it is active and will explode, it can't be picked up.
135 Dragon Flame Flames from a dragon. Unused Materia. In the Status Screen it has the Fire Materia icon, while in the HUD it uses the Ice Materia icon. Its Basic Magic launches a fireball, but unlike the Fire Materia it flies straight forward until hitting something. Using its Ultra Magic will crash the game.

Crash Dump Text

This magic is too powerful for the game to handle!

If the game crashes, text will appear showing what caused it.
