Carnivalé is based on the obscure animated movie of the same name. Similar to the Nintendo 64 version, the objective is to rescue your friends by winning Micro Machines-style races.

The game was likely scrapped due to the movie only getting a limited release in Europe and never finding its way to the States. A build was found among the 2020 Game Boy lotcheck leak, suggesting it was nearly or fully finished (the N64 version, for comparison, is said to have been just 50-60% complete when it was scrapped).
