Pokémon Conquest is a hybrid between characters from the well-known Pokémon series and the not-so-well-known Nobunaga's Ambition series. It worked out surprisingly well.

Other than the obvious logo change, "PUSH START BUTTON" became "PRESS START" and the copyright font was completely changed. Notably, the Koei Tecmo Games Ltd. copyright uses Japanese characters in the original release.
The Japanese name translated to English is Pokémon + Nobunaga's Ambition. The latter is a game series that is well-known in Japan, which is what the core of this game is based around, but not well-known elsewhere. As a result, the localization team changed the game's title to prevent confusion.
