Hot Air Bloon is a web game where a monkey soars through the air popping balloons for as long as they can without crashing, using a blimp! It is the first time in the series (excluding the original Bloons) where monkeys use the bloons instead of attack them.

A mobile version was released on November 3, 2010, which featured a story, boss battles, and multiple maps. But it was taken down like a blimp somewhere between 2018-2019 due to how surprisingly unpopular it was and its incompatibility with newer devices.

Unused Graphics

Lightning

HAB-Lightning.gif

The clouds have an unused lightning effect. Possibly removed due to how hard it would be to avoid?

HAB-Lightning Cloud.png

Here is what it would look like on a cloud.

HAB-Sitelock.png

A sitelock that was used in earlier versions but was disabled later for some reason. It still exists in the files.

Unseen Graphics

Full Trees

The trees below gameplay have a bit more body below that cannot be seen.

Title Kiwi

The kiwi in the intro has graphics for some parts of its body, but their color values are dimmed out, much like Bloons 2.

Unused Code

Lightning

There is an unused parameter in the Clouds file called LIGHTNINGCHANCE, which is set to zero. It would have been used for the Lighting graphic above. When setting the number higher, lightning does appear on all the clouds, but it seems incomplete as the lightning doesn't do anything to the monkey.

Trace Commands

Some trace commands have text that isn't used anywhere, for obvious reasons:

fuckfuckfuck
fuckup!!!

Oddities

HAB-FreezeEffect.png

All the bloons(blimp not included!) have a freeze effect. Probably a leftover.
