Ricochet is the undeserved black sheep of Valve's games and their first foray in quirky FPS games that eventually led to Portal and Portal 2.

Unused Female Player Model

An unused female player model exists in the game's files. The model appears to be complete, minus having her own "head decapitated" model.

Unused Powerups

There are models for two unused powers, "curve" and "visual". When opened up in a model viewer, the powerups are the Team Fortress Classic soccer/football ball and the Team Fortress Classic present model, respectively.

Unused Sound Effects

An unused sound effect exists within the game's files, under the "weapons" sound folder. It's called rocket1.wav, and it tries to play whenever you use your secondary attack. altfire.wav is a replacement to rocket1.wav.

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: This sound works only if you have the Power Shoot Powerup and if your disc is any color except red or perhaps if you're not alone in a server. Did Valve do this intentionally? If so, remove this sound from the section, since rocket1.wav plays only when you're in a server with others, different color than red, and the Power Shoot Powerup.

rocket1.wav

Disc Viewmodel

The disc thrown by the player has a "viewmodel" in the game's files that is never seen in-game. It can be enabled via the console command "r_drawviewmodel 1" or seen through a model viewer. It is a duplicate of the Half-Life grenade's viewmodel.
