This page details one or more prototype versions of Looney Tunes B-Ball.
This prototype is documented on Hidden Palace.
A prototype dated 6 months before the game's release. The game is titled Looney Tunes: Hoop it Up! (misspelled as "Loony" on the title screen), which ended up causing problems with the real life basketball organization of the same name.
Intro
- The Warner Bros. licensing screen is missing.
Prototype | Final |
---|---|
- The intro cinematic featuring Bugs and Daffy is an unfinished placeholder, using blank word balloons with no dialogue.
Prototype | Final |
---|---|
- More detail was added to the fake background. The stage door was also opened for Bugs and Daffy (and the ball) to actually run through.

- The "wacky meter" is referred to as the "karat meter".
- In the controller customization screen, "turbo" is referred to as "arriba".
Character Select

- The character select screen is very unfinished, lacking names and meaningful stats.
Prototype | Final |

- The flowers in the forest background were recolored, and the ground was shifted slightly to the right, but is largely complete.

- The scoreboards were cleaned up, condensing the time into a singular block.
- The stage door is embedded in the floor (downstairs?) in the prototype. It was raised to street level in the final.
- The lamp post and mailbox on the left side were removed.
- The brick wall was somewhat retextured.
- The paint lines on the street were dimmed and the center line cleaned up.
Credits
- The credits roll is missing several names, including all Sunsoft staff.
