New Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
New Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat |

Developer: Nintendo EAD[1] This game has unused graphics. |
Who needs bongos when you have controllers? Apparently, not Wii owners. Compared to the original GameCube version, this waggle-fueled version added new story elements, modes, gameplay mechanics, and of course, motion controls.

Unused Models
Early Checkpoint Flag
Hidden inside of the Checkpoint Monkey's left hand is a tiny, early version of the checkpoint flag. Unlike the final version, which is a red DK flag in a separate file, this early flag bares a yellow checkerboard pattern and is triangular. The mesh lacks the polygons and bones necessary to flap in the wind like the used flag, or to be scaled up at all.
VS. Bloat-Hog Scaffolding
The wooden platforms for Bloat-Hog's map was completely redesigned to use wooden scaffolding. For some reason, there are extra pieces of the scaffolding behind the waterfall. The position of these parts don't match the existing platforms, suggesting that a more radical layout change may have been planned.
Still Unused Models
While most of the unused models from the original version were removed from the re-release, a few remain. ClockBeltEnds was kept, likely because it shares a name with the object used in the Clock Tower stage. AttributedLandMeteoriteC is still present in the Asteroid Belt stage.
Unused Graphics
Ice Spike Texture
The Wii-only ice spike model has an extra texture named a. The model itself reuses the texture from the enemy Ice Miniga, which the unused texture seems to be the base for.
Roc Battle Textures
The battle maps for Fleet Roc and Hard Roc have some new textures that were left in after updating the maps.
Rock02 is a copy of the Jungle Deeps ground texture with "Test" written on it. It was likely left in due to its name being similar to another texture used by the model, Rock_02.
Clowd03 is a colorful cloud texture. It is notable for being fully colored, as all of the cloud textures used in the game are grayscale. The image itself seems to be the same one that the common cloud texture is based on.
Sun3 is a considerably darker version of the setting sun texture. The outline is far brighter than the sun itself, which looks unnatural. Unlike the other leftover textures, this one is only present in Hard Roc's map.
Unused Music
smw.ast
A leftover test-track that comes from Super Mario World. An identical test stream exists in The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures. This track was not present in the original version.
