WipEout Pure is the series' debut on the PlayStation Portable, acting as a launch title for the system in North America and Europe.

Regional Differences

There are many differences between the different regional versions of WipEout Pure, many of which center around region-exclusive DLC. There is also a Korean version with downloadable content support, but no content was ever released and an Asian version with no downloadable content support at all.

North American version

  • Playable in English, Spanish and French.
  • The US Greatest Hits version adds the option to delete files from the Memory Stick at the load profile menu at the start of the game. This was carried over from the European version.
  • This version has the following exclusive ship and skin packs that can be accessed by inputting a secret code at the Secret Packs screen in the Downloads menu:

  • Playable in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
  • There is a "Teasers" section in the main menu that has a demo of Fired Up, a trailer for MediEvil: Resurrection and a demo of WipEout Pure to share with other players via GameShare.
  • This version adds the option to delete files from the Memory Stick at the load profile menu at the start of the game.

Sci-Fi Released December 10, 2005. Contains the Sci-Fi-themed track and skin.

Pure Urban France Contains the following songs: "Bad Boy Racing" by Dakrishna, "The Bad Reputation" by Earsut and "Wanted Punk" by Tarik 'N' Djamel.
Pure Urban Germany Contains the following songs: "Just Jack" by Armin Treiber, "Echoboard" by Shipper and "Loewen Hertz" by Resonator.
Pure Urban Italy Contains the following songs: "Hard Rain" by Delroy ft. Micronauti, "Jungle Style" by DJ War ft. Lu Marra and "Plaiser" by Ruma.
Pure Urban Netherlands Contains the following songs: "Pak Uti" by Big Ed, "Ziel (Lazerus Remix)" by Ijsman and "Stop Foolin'" by Miss Dee ft. Leo Tani.
