Hmmm...
To do:
  • A few soundtrack sounds differently in this version.
  • Level designs may differ.
  • Screenshots.

A prototype of Mickey's Adventures in Numberland was available to the public in one of the NES 2.0 ROMset at an unknown date.

General Differences

  • Texts in copyright screen and level intros have different positions.
  • Human characters show up in levels, and they don't damage Mickey.
  • The bubble gum collectibles use a different graphic.
  • Wrong numbers damage Mickey, whereas in the final he just shakes his head.
    • Interestingly, this is the intended behavior of wrong numbers in Super Advanced, as stated in the manual.
  • Number boxes aren't present.
  • There's no score tally at the end of the level.
  • Bonus games use a music that would go completely unused in the final, have a brighter palette, and have much more variety than the final's simple "1+2"-type questions.
  • When losing all hitpoints in Super Advanced, the Game Over screen is shown and the player cannot continue. Also, Mickey has a unique death animation in the final version, whereas he just bounces off the screen in the prototype.
  • The game hangs after all the levels are beaten in Super Advanced.
