Pizza Tower/Unused Graphics/Unused Noise Graphics
This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes. |
This is a sub-page of Pizza Tower/Unused Graphics.
The Noise's moveset underwent many changes throughout Pizza Tower's development, with his final skateboard-centric moveset being quite different from the ones featured in earlier builds. Many early sprites linger in the game's files.
It should be noted that a substantial number of animations that the older incarnation of the Noise still in the files uses were recycled in his boss fight; as such, they will not be listed here.

Mach
Moveset
Graphic | Name | Replaced | Description |
---|---|---|---|
spr_playerN_climbwall | No | The Noise wallclimbing with his skateboard, used when the Noise's moveset was identical to Peppino's. The Noise lost the ability to wallclimb in the Noise Update, rendering this unused. | |
spr_playerN_dive | No | The Noise diving. Like the previous sprite, this was used when the Noise had a moveset identical to Peppino's. | |
spr_playerN_piledriver | Yes | Noise's old pilediver animation before v1.1.0. It depicts him as a basketball player with a large afro. Possibly changed due to how it could be perceived as a racist stereotype. | |
spr_playerN_piledriverland | |||
spr_playerN_ratballoonbounce | No | The Noise bouncing on a Rat Balloon, instead of him becoming a balloon. | |
spr_playerN_skateboarddoublejump | No | The Noise doublejumping with his skateboard in the air. | |
spr_playerN_doublejumpfall | No | Noise falling after a double jump. With v1.1.0, only spr_playerN_doublejump is used in Swap Mode. | |
spr_playerN_glide | No | Noise gliding with his cape, was used for an old gliding move in earlier demos. | |
spr_playerN_charge | No | Noise charging an enemy. Was used in older demos. | |
spr_playerN_tackle | No | Noise's old tackle move, as seen in builds made before the GOLF April Fool's build. | |
spr_playerN_pogobouncemach | No | These animations were part of the "Pogo" moveset, the last unique one to The Noise before McPig changed it because of co-op. These appeared when Noise was ready to fire his jetpack horizontally or vertically. | |
spr_playerN_pogofallmach | |||
spr_playerN_jetpackboostdown | No | Noise boosting downwards using his jetpack. | |
spr_playerN_noisebombthrow | No | Noise throwing a bomb by hand instead of kicking it. Was used in 2021 builds in place of the uppercut move. |
Old Grab
Boss Fights
Graphic | Name | Replaced | Description |
---|---|---|---|
spr_playerN_dab | No | A direct reference to the "analogue dabbing" featured in the Noid fangame, Yo! Noid 2. This is used in Noise's Hardoween. Was later meant to be re-inplemented in the boss fight as the animation for his copy exploding before being replaced by the current animation. | |
spr_vsnoise | Yes | Noise's hyper-realistic portrait for his boss fight, albeit with his old mask design. It was initially added in the March Part 1 build, alongside his unused Crusher boss fight. | |
spr_vstitle (part of) |
Yes | Noise's old title for his boss fight. It was replaced with his final one in the Octobe22 build. | |
spr_santanoise | No | Noise pretending to be Santa in Strongcold's miniboss, leftover from the Peppino's Xmas Break demo. The fight starts after he pulls obj_noisebomb out of his bag. |
Transformations
HUD
TV
Graphic | Name | Replaced | Description |
---|---|---|---|
spr_tv_idleN spr_tv_idleanim1N spr_tv_idleanim2N |
Yes | An older version of the Noise's idle TV HUD that first appeared in the April 2021 build. This revision of it has a yellow background with two small swirls. This was changed in the Noise Update, which removed said background, and instead uses the colored TV backgrounds. | |
spr_tv_squishedN | No | HUD for the scrapped squished state for Noise. | |
spr_tv_clownN | No | During the midpoint of Pizza Tower's development cycle, a clown transformation was planned. However, it was cut from the main game due to a shift in the game's design philosophy; instead, it was repurposed as a secret inside World 3's Hub.
The respective TV animations for it (for Peppino and The Noise) go unseen because the HUD is disabled in the hub world. |
Faces
Ranks
Older versions of the Noise's rank screens. These were changed in the Noise Update to bring them in line with the Noise's design in the final game; specifically, his nose shape changed during development, and his mustache was made thinner and part of his costume rather than a facial feature. The A rank screen was completely overhauled, while the B and C screens were redrawn. The changes to the D and S screens were limited to tweaking his mustache to be thinner and more on-model.
Misc
Graphic | Name | Replaced | Description |
---|---|---|---|
spr_playerN_taunt (one frame) |
Removed | An old taunt for Noise featuring Noisette dragging him away. It uses her old design, with her red undershirt and lighter shade of pink. This was used before the Noise Update, where the taunt was removed. | |
spr_playerN_deathstart | No | The first part of Noise's full death animation. It was used in just one build. | |
spr_playerN_grind | Yes | Noise's old animation for when grinding on rails. Was likely changed to put more emphasis on his skateboard. | |
spr_playerN_slipnslide | No | Animation used in older builds when the player slipped on ice blocks (eg. in Strongcold) or on bananas. Was also used in old water levels at the very start of the game's development. | |
spr_playerN_keyget | Yes | Old animation for Noise collecting a key to a locked door. Was used in earlier demos. | |
spr_noisepushrock | No | Noise pulling one of his p-ranks (ahah, get it?) on Peppino. More information can be found here. | |
spr_noisehotair | No | Noise in his hot air balloon throwing a match. More information can be found here. |
Palettes
Before v1.0.594 (the Halloween Event Update), Noise used an old palette set, before being fixed in said update to prepare for the Noise Update. As such, the original palette set is replaced with the new one.
Pre-Noise Update | Post-Noise Update |
---|---|
Palette | Replaces | Description |
---|---|---|
Default | Noise's default palette, however he has red skin, as he would with getting the pepper pizza in R-R-Freezerator. | |
Garish Cook, Shitty Cook, Golden God, and Mooney Orange | Invisible Noise! No correct palette is assigned for Noise, hence why he is invisible. | |
Unused | Noise wearing Peppino's tank top colors, as used in The Noise's Hardoween build. | |
Money Green | Noise's iconic Grinch colors, as seen in the Peppino's Xmas Break demo. | |
Sage Blue | The iconic Hardoween colors, but inverted. | |
Blood Red, TV Purple and Dark Cook | He's naked, someone please censor that. |
Co-Op
Graphic | Name | Replaced | Description |
---|---|---|---|
spr_noiseicon | No | This icon would have be used if the player went offscreen in the unused Co-op mode. | |

spr_noise_throw | Removed | An older design of Noise throwing something, which has an identical animation to the sprite used for obj_noisebombspawner, minus the bomb. |
Crusher Boss

No Helmet | With Helmet | No Helmet | With Helmet | ||
spr_noisecrusher_air | spr_noisecrusherhelmet_air | Removed | In the files of the March 2019 build, there is an unused fight against the one and only Noise, where he would attack the player via a deadly crusher, á la Yo! Noid. It wouldn't be normally accessible until the August 28th revision of the Blue Block Land build, however it unfortunately crashes the game in there and later builds.
A variant with Noise wearing an helmet also existed. Also, since when was Noise a guy who cares about safety anyway? | ||
