Need for Speed II was the first game in the series to not include the police. It featured a number of futuristic-looking (for the time) concepts like the Ford GT90 and the Isdera Commendatore 112i, a number of tracks set in various countries around the globe, and a sick techno and rock soundtrack.

Unused Graphics

An early slideshow file (SLDSHW.QFS) still exists. It contains two photos of the McLaren F1 LM (specifically, the XP1 prototype).

There's also an early track info file (INFO.QFS), containing an early layout and logo for Pacific Spirit.

The only known unused prop is Tank,none any maps used this prop and does not have an associated cheat code.Found in

  • PC:GAMEDATA\CARMODEL\PC and file is "TANK.GEO" and "TANK.QFS"
  • PS1:Place in root and file is "ZTANK.GEO" and "ZTANK.QFS"
