This page sucks. If you could make it suck less, that would be awesome. Specifically: It feels plagiarized from the Just Dance Wiki's article about the game's unused content. Rewording and re-organizing the article could be better.

Just Dance 2014 is the fifth game in the dance game series by Ubisoft, dropping the numerical title in favor of yearly releases similar to the FIFA games. It's just like any other Just Dance game where you follow the moves of a person dancing.

Original Name

• Before the game received its final name, it was going to be called Just Dance 5, using the naming scheme of the previous 4 games.
  • In Just Dance 2014’s now-defunct servers, the game was referred to as Just Dance 5.
  • On the Xbox 360, DLC for the game is shown in Storage Settings as within JD5-DLC.
  • Additionally, on a game conference website, the game's logo was shown as Just Dance 5 instead.

• On the Floor was intended to return in Just Dance 2014 as a DLC, but the plan was ultimately scrapped for unknown reasons. This fact is proven by the following details:
  • In the Just Dance Now files, the menu icon has the glass effect that can be seen in all of the Just Dance 2014 and Just Dance Wii U menu icons (including the downloadable tracks for Just Dance 2014), despite the song not being featured in either game.
  • The .json file from the Just Dance Now servers is structured int the same way as those for Just Dance 2014 routines (including returning DLC’s), as the difficulty rating is in letters (in this case, "Easy") and a string called "NumCoach" can be found.

Robot Rock

• Robot Rock by Daft Punk was originally meant to appear in the game. For whatever reason before the game was released, it was switched to Nitro Bot.
  • Other evidence shows that the codename for Nitro Bot is 'RobotRock' and the scrapped song matches the routine perfectly.

Run Dem Boyz

• Run Dem Boyz by Anja featuring Sonja Blade was planned to be in the game, but the song was ultimately scrapped for unknown reasons, according to a post in Anja's official Facebook account where the now-deleted demo has Just Dance 2014 in the title..
  • However, the song later got officially released on January 1st 2021; it was postponed due to Run Dem Boyz getting cut from the final game.

• The Other Side was intended to have a Party Master Mode, which was cancelled before the game release. It can still be found in the game files.

We Can't Stop

• We Can't Stop by Miley Cyrus was released on November 26, 2013 in the shop by accident, but it got removed short after. It is now a DLC for Just Dance 2015, although the dancer's color scheme and the background are changed.
  • With the use of a hacked Wii, instead of We Can't Stop appearing in the shop, there is a song called Dummy; if the player downloaded it, they would only get an empty dancer square.
