Also known as: Grand Theft Auto (box) This game has unused graphics. This game has a prototype article This game has a prerelease article |
Grand Theft Auto Advance is an original top-down GTA adventure that fits in your pocket, right next to your handgun. It was released on the same day as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Note: all unused things seen here were not found in game files because Game Boy Advance ROM'S can't be exported for the moment. The ROM of the game can be opened with notepad to see some scripts tho. (I guess this is what the last editor meant..)

Unused Mission Text
Missions used but some of their text unused, starts at 0x349104
Jump Start
As with most Grand Theft Auto games, the game starts right away on the first mission instead of having to go start it yourself.
IN THE TOP LEFT CORNER OF THE SCREEN IS A RADAR OF THE CITY. YOUR POSITION IS MARKED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RADAR AS A WHITE ARROW. HEAD TOWARD THE BLUE 'V' ICON. ONCE YOU'RE AT THE 'V' ICON LOCATION, HEAD TOWARD THE BLUE MARKER TO START THE MISSION.
The mission automatically restarts when failed.
HEAD TOWARD THE 'V' ICON MARKED ON THE RADAR ON THE TOP LEFT OF THE SCREEN TO START THE MISSION AGAIN.
Dirty Laundry
You were originally meant to pick up Federico in his car instead of picking up a weapon at Ammu-Nation and killing him. A different version of the "here I come" line is used. Instead of giving him a final push, Mike promises to take him down.
PICK UP FEDERICO IN HIS DRIVER'S CAR. HEAD TOWARD HIS LOCATION BY FOLLOWING THE GREEN DOT ON THE RADAR. GREEN DOTS SYMBOLIZE PEOPLE, CARS, OR OBJECTS THAT YOU HAVE TO PICK UP. HERE I COME FEDERA... FIDO... AHH... FREDDY TO GIVE YOU YOUR FINAL PUSH. NICE WORK, GENIUS. YOU JUST BLEW UP THE WHEELS NEEDED TO PICK UP FEDERICO. NOW WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO? BAD MOVE, KID. YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BRING HIM BACK ALIVE.
Additional cutscene dialogue.
HEH, HAVE I STEERED YOU WRONG YET? JUST DO WHAT I ASK AND LET ME WORRY ABOUT THE MAFIA. I PROMISE YOU THINGS WILL CHANGE. FOR BETTER OR WORSE, OUR LIVES WILL CHANGE. I'M NOT SORRY HE'S DEAD, I JUST DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE, VINNIE. WE CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS. NOBODY IS BLAMING YOU MIKE, HIS FATE WAS IN HIS OWN HANDS. HE MADE A RUN FOR IT. WRAP IT UP QUICK, VINNIE. I DON'T LIKE THIS KIND OF WORK YEAH RIGHT, YOU AND EVERY OTHER CREEP IN THIS TOWN.
An additional line of Vinnie scolding Mike.
I NEVER REALIZED YOU COULD BE SUCH A PUTZ, KID.
Hot Wheels
Vinnie scolds you if you run away from the guard or destroy the car, but this one isn't used. It would fit for abandoning the Banshee or bringing it to the safehouse without spraying it.
HEY KID, YOU DEAF OR JUST NOT PAYIN' ATTENTION? I TOLD YOU TO STEAL THE BANSHEE, GET IT SPRAY PAINTED, AND THEN DROP IT OFF!
Fake IDs
The getaway car isn't involved in this mission.
I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE THE GETAWAY CAR AT THE HIDEOUT. WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU?
Getaway
Vinnie first tells you to come to Chinatown, then alerts you via pager to come to the bridge.
OKAY MIKE, I JUST NEED TO GRAB THE MONEY AND WE'RE READY TO GO. MEET ME AT THE BRIDGE IN FIVE MINUTES IN THE GETAWAY CAR, AND WE'LL GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE FOR GOOD.
Unused line for Vinnie.
COME ON, KID. JUST WHEN I NEED YOU MOST, YOU DROP THE BALL.
