Grand Theft Auto 2 (Dreamcast)
Grand Theft Auto 2 |
---|
Developer: DMA Design This game has regional differences. |
Grand Theft Auto 2 is the more ambitious sequel to the first in the long-running open-world crime series. This second game was released for the Dreamcast, and this version sits somewhere between the PlayStation and Windows versions in graphical fidelity.
Regional Differences
A unique variant of the game was released in France, which added a "parental lock code" which must be entered to start the game. The code to unlock the game was provided on a separate "Important: Parents" insert in the game package, which noted the game's content was not appropriate for people under the age of 16. This also effectively serves as an manual-based anti-piracy mechanism for that particular version of the game, although there is only one valid code that the game will verify for, WFUSDFCF.
Despite the game itself using the language the console is set to in this version, this screen is always presented in French.
