Is there some reason you keep removing the "It prints money!" line from the Nintendo DS article? And why'd you change "sucks" to "elaborate"? That tag was chosen for a reason. --BMF54123 (talk) 16:59, 7 September 2013 (EDT)
Image Naming
Image filenames need to contain the game title; office.png is not acceptable. Please read the image guidelines. --BMF54123 (talk) 15:22, 1 October 2013 (EDT)
- Also, uh, don't upload JPEGs. Again, this is covered in the guidelines. --BMF54123 (talk) 16:18, 2 October 2013 (EDT)
- Repeating that you need to include the game title in the file name, as your recent uploads don't have this. -Einstein95 (talk) 10:08, 8 January 2017 (EST)
Changing the Skin
- To change the skin for the website, go to preferences on the top-right corner, click on Appearance and select "Monobook" to go back to the old layout. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 17:55, 11 July 2015 (EDT)
Splatoon Regional Differences Table
I noticed the way you made the Splatoon regional differences page with multiple tables and how everything seemed off-centre; I think putting everything into one table would look better. I've already made the markup, but since you're working on the page, I didn't want to commit the edit to prevent an edit conflict. The raw markup for the modified tables can be found here. --Grandta13 (talk) 19:06, 11 July 2015 (EDT)
- I've gone ahead and made the edit; I just wanted to make sure that you weren't modifying anything when I did it. --Grandta13 (talk) 19:24, 12 July 2015 (EDT)
Gadget Racers
Which version of Gadget Racers did you create the article for? The information doesn't match with either the GBA or PS2 versions. TheBluegeek (talk) 12:54, 2 June 2016 (EDT)TheBluegeek
- I was opting for the PlayStation 2 and Gamecube versions. SodaDog (talk) 13:22, 2 June 2016 (EDT)
- Okay, doing a bit of research, there seem to be FIVE completely different games known as Gadget Racers.
- Choro Q HG for PS2, or Gadget Racers (US) and Penny Racers (EU)
- Choro Q Advance for GBA, or Gadget Racers (US), and Penny Racers (EU)
- Choro Q Advance for GBA, or Road Trip: Shifting Gears (US) and Gadget Racers (EU)
- Choro Q HG 3 for PS2 (The one you mean), Gadget Racers (EU)
- Choro Q! for GameCube or Road Trip: The Arcade Edition (US) or Gadget Racers (EU).

Splitting section from a page
According to the talk page of The Simpsons: Hit & Run, a few users have agreed that the Unused Vehicles/Unused Models should be split into their own subpage as the two sections take up a good bit of space. I'd like to see what you could do about this. Elite Octoling (talk) 09:09, 24 September 2017 (EDT)
- Sounds like a plan. I'll make sure to think about it! SodaDog (talk) 10:35, 24 September 2017 (EDT)
- Alright. An appropriate title would be "Unused Models". Elite Octoling (talk) 12:23, 30 September 2017 (EDT)
Destroy All Humans!
I was wondering that by your work on the PS2 Bully page, you could be interested in trying to explore the beta of a game called Destroy All Humans!. To give you a sum, it's a spoof of cheesy 1950s B-movies where you play as an alien invader who comes to Earth to collect human brains. The game has had MASSIVE CHANGES, and unfortunately no one I know seems to have found anything in the files. Maybe you could help? (The second game, which is as good as the first one, also had many changes). Elite Octoling (talk) 14:35, 15 October 2017 (EDT)
- I might consider it. Also, Rockstar-developed games usually has big changes aswell, so Bully isn't new. SodaDog (talk) 09:19, 16 October 2017 (EDT)
The Sims 1/Bustin' Out/2 Console .arc
Hey, I noticed on the Sims 2 Console page that you mentioned those texture files were extracted from the game's .arc files, which also appear in the earlier sims console games. Looking at the files they doesn't seem to follow the three publicly available formats, being FreeARC, the ARC on wikipedia and nintendo RARC. Did you write or obtain software to extract files from the archives, or have any additional information on the format's structure? I'm interested in extracting the files from Bustin' Out. Thanks in advance. --Riperiperi (talk) 22:57, 15 November 2017 (EST)
- I used this thing called QuickBMS. I simply copied the code of The Sims 2 and I used it for other Sim console games. For textures, I used the Console/Texture Explorer, which can be downloaded at GTAmodding. SodaDog (talk) 08:51, 16 November 2017 (EST)
Translations
To mark a page for translation, add <languages /><br /><translate> at the top and </translate> at the bottom. Please don't just create translations for minor things like headers, as it ends up being frustrating for native language readers. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 23:06, 9 December 2017 (EST)
The Sims 2 Textures
Hey, I'm currently researching hidden contents of The Sims 2 (PS2) and I would like to know how did you successfully manage to view the extracted textures. You've mentioned a Console/Texture Explorer but the GTAForums.com links are dead. Can you please upload it somewhere? Thanks. --SuperFrizzio (talk) 10:30, 13 February 2018 (EST)
EDIT: I've managed to find it, may I ask you the texture names of all the aspirations icons? (talk) 16:49, 13 February 2018 (EST)
- I've searched for the "aspr" tag but I couldn't find any results, at least in the TEXTURES.arc file, I did take a look at the FLASHES.arc files and I have seen what probably could be the aspirations/story-objectives/fears data. I managed to open them with TiledGGD but It's hard to recognise them. Is there a way to load them in-game (Like, forcing the game to load a fear icon/script/ecc)? --SuperFrizzio (talk) 14:03, 13 February 2018 (EST}
please stop being a "no fun allowed" robot
tcrf is not wikipedia. we are allowed to have humor and not-entirely-serious descriptions of games. please stop removing them. thanks. -- Xkeeper (talk) 19:42, 26 March 2018 (EDT)

Prerelease Grand Theft Auto V
So far from the Reveal trailer section, it seems you got just about everything down. You did miss some things however. Such as:
- Trevor's truck was white instead of red and it seems like it was completely clean instead of being rusted.
- The Phoenix had different stock rims and it seemingly came with a spoiler by default. The Phoenix never spawned without a spoiler until an update in the PS4/Xbox One/Windows version made it possible.
- Also the prostitute with the pink top has a cowboy hat on. In the final, none of the prostitutes spawn with hats on.
- A Seaplane, speculated to be the Dodo Seaplane, can be seen at 0:27. No seaplanes existed in the game proper until the Re-release on next gen introduced the Dodo Seaplane.
- This probably already counts as mostly the same thing, but the Golf Course had alot of trees. A whole bunch of them. In fact, it made it look somewhat like a forest or a park instead of a golf course.
And I think that's about it for the Reveal Trailer. So far, so good.

- Thanks. Do you have a Discord, so I can discuss about beta findings related to GTA V? SodaDog (talk) 14:54, 27 April 2018 (EDT)
Yeah. My name's the same fireboy769 (talk) 15:59 April 27 2018

Extracting/Converting Sims 3 (Wii)'s Music?
Hi SodaDog. I've noticed TCRF's Sims console game pages mention unused music, usually from the previous Sims game. However, I've never heard of someone extracting the music from the audiostr.arc file, let alone converting the music so it can be confirmed to be unused music. I say that because while Audacity can open the music in that file, it sounds distorted! When I looked through the history for Sims 2 Pets and Castaway, you were the one that added info about unused music, so you must've been able to do this.
In other messages here, you've mentioned how you extracted files from the ARCs but never linked to the QuickBMS script you used, which would come in handy for me, as I want to extract and convert Sims 3 (Wii)'s music, along with previous GameCube Sims games' music. I assume all of these Sims games use the same engine, hence every one of them having an "audiostr.arc" file within them with music I would love to have converted. If you've managed to convert the weird audio format of these games, could you please explain the steps to extract the games' music and convert it to a listenable format?
I'm just really after Sims 3's music from the Wii version, though other music like Static from Sims 2 (the Nu Metal song) would be extracted by me, if I knew how. You mentioned to contact someone on ModTheSims, but their last post was back in April so I doubt they would ever reply to me. --Xanem123 (talk) 09:43, 14 August 2018 (EDT)
- Here's the code. Save it into a notepad and use it as the one for quickBMS.
get OFFSET long goto OFFSET get FILES long for i = 0 < FILES get DUMMY long get OFFSET long get SIZE long get NAME string get TSTAMP longlong log NAME OFFSET SIZE next i

Please don't convert JPEGs to PNG
From the image guidelines:
- Don't try to convert JPEGs to PNGs. This only serves to make the file much larger and has zero impact on image quality.
- Exception: If a texture or other graphic was originally stored as a JPEG, and you can cleanly extract it from the game, you can upload it in its original format and mark it with the {{alreadyJPEG}} template.
So if you have a prerelease image, concept art, or a scan* that was originally a JPEG, please upload it in that format. (The {{alreadyJPEG}} template is not needed for those cases; it's only for ripped graphics).
*Unless you have the means to re-scan the original pages as PNGs.
Edit: More details here (rules recently updated)
