File Upload Naming
You should be putting the name of the game in some form in the file name for your uploads, as per the guidelines. Helps to prevent file name conflicts and confusion. --Escape209 (talk) 21:49, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
- Roger that! Thanks for the heads up. I shall put the game's name in the file name and also in the description from now on.(GameBeast92 (talk) 22:28, 26 January 2025 (UTC))
- Yeah valid point. Thanks. (GameBeast92 (talk) 13:42, 27 January 2025 (UTC))
- To add, I tend to link to non-existent places on a Wiki first (like File:Testfiledonotupload.png) and clicking that link to upload the file. Take notice that it auto-fills the file name. Saves a lot of trouble renaming the file in File Explorer or equivalent file manager. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) 00:52, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
GameCube Screenshot and Video Uploads
Some of your screenshots have metadata suggesting you are not using the built-in Dolphin screenshot feature (File:Dolphin Emulator Screenshot 2024.07.11 - 12.12.33.13.png saying something about GeForce for example). It is recommended to follow screenshot guidelines for GCN/Wii. Also, there is a frame dump feature in Dolphin emulator that saves the video as uncompressed AVI. I have a tool that can make the FFMPEG CMD tool much easier to use to convert any video to OGV (Theora + Vorbis) here. I uploaded File:Pokemon Colosseum INT Intro.ogv to replace File:Pokemon Colosseum INT Intro.gif. Let me know if you have any issues trying this out! --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) 00:52, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
