Burnout 3 Car Colours
Those car colors may appear in the opening movie, but that doesn't prove that the textures still exist in the game as unused colours. As it stands, they're completely used in the opening sequence. --M64m (talk) 18:35, 15 February 2015 (EST)
- So I found that the different colored textures for the cars operate based on palettes rather than individual texture sets (which makes sense - why waste time and space by copying and recoloring the same textures?) This means you could theoretically have any color of car you wanted. It's just that in-game, you are limited to a set of 3 colors. --Adderdee (talk) 14:52, 17 February 2015 (EST)
- I'd say a variable colour option still shouldn't be added unless there's some sort of leftover code or text showing it was intended to be player-customizable. Fire Emblem: Awakening has a similar feature, but that's just how the game functions. It's limited to a certain number of colours, and it serves its purpose. --M64m (talk) 13:03, 26 February 2015 (EST)
Screenshots
Hey, make sure you're using PCSX2's screenshot function to get a native resolution shot. PS2 screenshots should never be 1920 x 1080. --M64m (talk) 11:57, 5 March 2015 (EST)
Categorization
Make sure to include categories for uploaded files. For sound files, this means including something like {{soundfile|(Insert system here)}} in the description of a file. I noticed you uploaded a lot of sound files from Spongebob ROTFD, but didn't categorize them. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 18:47, 23 August 2015 (EDT)
How to extract files from Revenge of the Flying Dutchman
Hi there. I was curious on how you managed to extract the audio files from ROTD. I haven't been able to find a program that does so. Was the audio extracted from the PS2 or GC version? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by SuperMoonKnight (talk • contribs)
Dark Mode
Don't forget to add the Vector.css or Monobook.css (depending on whichever skin you use) for the Dark Mode to work correctly 👍 TF2CutContent 💬 ✏️ 21:26, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
Gollum Game: Black Cross Of Unusual Size
I wasn't able to replicate a 150MB image of a solid black cross on white background even in an unoptimized image at the dimensions of the image on-site, can you add more information about the overly large test image to its page (Like image dimensions/filetype) as a more helpful source?
Sorry to bother you

Gollum's model renders
Hey, your renders look really good, and they are animated with a transparent background as well! What technique did you use to render them? They look as if they were from the game --DeepWeeb (talk) 19:49, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks :) so the tool I used is a version of umodel with support for Gollum from here. Umodel allows you to take a screenshot with a transparent background. For the animated one(s) in particular, basically what I did was go frame-by-frame of the animation and take a screenshot on each frame (using AutoHotKey to automate it, as there's hundreds of frames). Then, using ImageMagick, I stitched all the frames together into one GIF animation. --Escape209 (talk) 08:26, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. I'm familiar with umodel but as expecting a much simpler solution than the one you gave (especially since certain assets don't get their materials properly loaded too look like they in-game...), it clearly took you a lot of effort to do, so thanks anyways! --DeepWeeb (talk) 23:51, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah, about that: the early Gollum model just happened to be one of the few that somehow does look right in umodel. All of the rest have wacky colours going on, as you probably experienced. --Escape209 (talk) 01:00, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- It appears FModel is going to be the next best thing for Unreal Engine games since it actually doesn't butcher the looks of the models most of the time, too bad that is UE4/5-only, it's actually more cumbersome to find anything compared to umodel and it has no options for screenshots at the moment (and the background options are awful). I actually suggested that feature + video/GIF maker on their Github but seems like they since removed their "Issues" tab... :( --DeepWeeb (talk) 01:49, 27 October 2023 (UTC)

For the Demo Version
Are you going to add my link back for the rearrangement???
- The prototype article link gets added automatically to the bob at the top of the article. You're not supposed to add one yourself; you just have to wait until it appears. It's on the bob now. --Escape209 (talk) 18:34, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
