Unused Screens

Cutscene Viewer

A cutscene viewer in the game was programmed, but can't be accessed normally. Enter the Game Genie code 0A2-80B-E66 to see this menu after pressing Start on the title screen.

When the player is in this menu, they can press A to see the cutscene and press A within the cutscene to get back to the viewer menu. The player exits the menu by pressing Start.

Selecting "LABS EXPLODE" option crashes the game. Also, worth nothing but there is an unused cheat sequence among other working sequences at 0x00819F in ROM: Select, A, Down, B, Up, Down, there are no links to it in the main code, but there is also a fourth set of counter/flags variables in RAM that is used by other cheats. Maybe the fourth cheat was intended to access the Cutscene viewer, but then scrapped.

This code will enter the Crash handler as soon as the level starts. It displays the last state of the CPU registers, also by using the D-Pad you may list the memory dump. Alternate Main Menu

Alternate Used

There is an unused tile-map for what appears to be an unused older design of the title screen with a title menu as well. However, this alternate menu appears to be unfinished, as the right part of this menu have some unconnected tiles. The current main menu layout and overlay graphics obviously doesn't match this tile-map. However, enter the Game Genie code 06C-09A-4C2 to replace the currently used menu graphics with an unused one.
