The Chikyuu Bouei Gun 2 is the 2nd entry to the Earth Defense Force series and is also part of the SIMPLE 2000 series.

2 years after the first game, the Aliens raid over not only Japan, but London! Deploying more giant insects and UFOs! It's your job to eradicate them and save the earth, again! (Building demolition is permitted)

Unused Voice Clips

There are many voice clips which were purposed to be used for an unused character, possibly a posessed civillian or a EDF operator hijacking the communicator. The final game only uses the Radio version of the 23rd voice clip within the Japanese version of Mission 11, 'The Feast' (renamed as 'Rolling in' for the Vita/Switch remake.)

Regional Differences

Just like the first game, the EU version removes all Radio voices, without any effort to insert subtitles or dub the dialogue into English. Western players needed to wait for 8 years for the game's remake to include the English voiceovers.
