Gundam: Battle Assault 2
Gundam: Battle Assault 2 |
---|
Also known as: SIMPLE Character 2000 series Vol.12 Kidou Butouden G Gundam The Battle (JP), SIMPLE Character 2000 series Vol.13 Shin Kidou Senki Gundam W The Battle (JP) This game has unused playable characters. |
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article? |
Gundam: Battle Assault 2 is the sequel to Battle Assault, that was split into two games in Japan for the Simple Character 2000 series.
To do: Are the Gundam W roster there in Vol.12 and G Gundam roster in Vol.13? |
To do: Include sound and music samples of unused music/voices. |

Match Announcer
The male match commentator has an unused line saying "You Suck!"
"You suck!"
Character Voices
The line Duo (Deathscythe's pilot) uses for his super in Street Mode ("Slash, slash, slash!") exists as a lower-quality sound sample meant for in-match use, but goes unused. Each "Slash!" is a separate sample.
"Slash...
...slash...
...slash!!!"
This line was likely intended to be used for Deathscythe's Mega Special, named Hell Scissors. Beam Scissors is the name of Deathscythe's scythe.
"Beam Scissors!"
Unused Text
The text for "Story Mode" exists at the top of a list of titles for the main menu, but "Street Mode" was used instead. "Street Mode" exists at the bottom of this list.
The images used for the names on top of the mechs on character select exist for the four unused mechs. There's no entry for these mechs on the character select screen to reference.
Development-Related Text
Debug Text
There is debug text present in the file DATA/DEBUG.PRG which goes unused.

Version Differences
US/Europe | Japan (Vol.12) | Japan (Vol.13) |
---|---|---|
As mentioned above, the Japanese release split the game into two, with Vol.12 containing the Mobile Fighter G Gundam roster and Vol.13 containing the New Mobile Report: Gundam Wing Endless Waltz roster (The second title uses the original Wing logo but most of the mobile suits are from the Endless Waltz OVA.) Both games still have the Universal Century mobile suits, however.
The Burning and Dark Gundams also go by their original Japanese names ("God" and "Devil" Gundam) in Vol.12.
