Debug Menu
Can someone explain where I do this? Add information about a potential debug save menu found by fkualol: "801340E8 = pointer for different menus, set to 8012AA24 for debug save menu?" --SubDrag (talk) 12:15, 5 May 2017 (EDT)
Complete Pokemon List
I ripped all the Pokemon Names from US Pokemon Stadium (US)...there seem to be a ton unused. It looks like they just took Generation 1 of Pokemon (count 151 Pokemon), put it in game, and then used some of them but kept all names.

unknown4 and unknown5
There is a USF rip of this game, so someone could check this. It has two tracks called unknown4 and unknown5, maybe it's one of those two? -- Sheeza 13:37, 7 August 2012 (EDT)
- No dice here. I got the USF rip, but there's nothing like what's in the article. I've never heard unknown4 once in the entire game (probably have to beat the challenge score or something; not sure though), but unknown5 plays in the game when trying to make a new save game when a save game already exists. --From: divingkataetheweirdo 14:45, 7 August 2012 (EDT)
- Then- what's the policy on this, exactly? It's official, but we have no idea if it was ever implemented... (I'll also note that having only Ghost-types is extremely unlikely; G1 only HAS a single line of Ghosts!)--Afti 17:24, 8 August 2012 (EDT)
- Wait a sec. Where did the "Fantastic Horror" song come from? It's not listed on VGMdb's entry for the album, and it isn't on Youtube either. // Foxhack 17:56, 8 August 2012 (EDT)
- I found the origin of this file. It's taken from Ikuko Mimori's own website. However, we still need to see if it's still in the game. --From: divingkataetheweirdo 18:04, 8 August 2012 (EDT)
- Ahem, [1] — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pgj1997 (talk • contribs) 19:37, 8 August 2012 (EDT)
- I didn't find it because its name is Fantasic, not Fantastic. :P Though I have seen "Fantastic" typoed like that a few times over the years. Still, the song didn't come from the CD. I would include it in the page, regardless of whether or not it's actually in the rom, but that's just me. // Foxhack 19:41, 8 August 2012 (EDT)

Fantastic Horror
While it is unknown whether or not it is in the game, a song called "Fantastic Horror" can be found on the "Gotta Catch the Sound" CD. Given the name, it was probably intended for a stage which had only Ghost-type Pokémon much like the volcanic stage has only Fire-type Pokémon (with the exception of Magikarp).
(putting this here until we get some verification) --BMF54123 18:27, 8 August 2012 (EDT)
Unused Voice Clips?
I found two voices clip of Professor Oak that I don't remember hearing at all.
Can someone verify?
- It's been a while, but I remember hearing these in the game. I think they occur when you learn of the final level and when you unlock a player item, respectively. LinkTheLefty (talk) 13:56, 11 December 2013 (EST)
Maybe Unused Pokemon?
I was screwing around with Cheat Engine one day, and while using it to edit the values of what picture I'm on in the gallery, these names kept popping up in the Pokemon name... place. I lack the tools and the know-how to see if there's anything more to this, so can anyone verify whether or not the names are all that's in there. The names I found are:
Ivysaur, Venusaur, Wartortle, Blastoise, Caterpie, Weedle, Beedrill, Pidgeotto, Ekans, Arbok, Golbat, Gloom, Poliwrath, Abra, Alakazam, Hypno, Cubone, Weezing, Rhydon, Pinsir, Kabuto, Mewtwo --Passerby Boy (talk) 05:05, 19 January 2014 (EST)
- Cubone, Pinsir, and Mewtwo are Pokemon Signs, and Ekans can be seen in really early footage of the game, but the rest are mysteries. I wonder if Ekans' model is still in the game. --Lemurboy12 (talk) 11:15, 19 January 2014 (EST)
Unknown Sound Effect and Music track
While messing around with the memory that holds the current music track being played I found a sound effect that I've never heard
as well as music track that sounds like it could be an early version of the first credits music
Sorry about the quality I was using Nemu64 at the time of the recording Nekorun (talk) 01:56, 25 April 2014 (EDT)
- The sound effect is listed as "unknown" and the music as "Staff Roll 2"
- GermanPokemon (talk) 02:08, 25 April 2014 (EDT)
Ah ok, when does "staff Roll 2" play? I don't remember This is the first staff roll https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMy1BUhkA6E and this is the second https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUbTsxwDAQE neither one sound exactly like "Staff Roll 2"Nekorun (talk) 03:26, 25 April 2014 (EDT)
- Opps, this is not Staff Roll 2. It's the river hut music
- GermanPokemon (talk) 03:59, 25 April 2014 (EDT)
Ok,that makes much more sense. So it is used thank you for clearing that up. Now what about the sound effect should it be added to the page as unused? Nekorun (talk) 04:03, 25 April 2014 (EDT)
- Yes.
- GermanPokemon (talk) 04:39, 25 April 2014 (EDT)
- The unknown sound effect is indeed used when you beat the challenge score (not an easy thing to do). It's unknown4 in the USF rip, just so you know. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 04:32, 17 June 2015 (EDT)
Blurring in US Title Screen
The screenshot of the title image shows a noticable blur of the background. Using Project64, I have captured screenshots of the Japanese and US title screen, with no blurring effect visible. Both of these images were captured under the exact same conditions.

- The titlescreen used on the page was taken using a plugin that more accurately emulates the Nintendo 64's RSP. Notice the difference in the text at the bottom of the screen, how it appears sharper in the one used on the page. -Einstein95 (talk) 23:04, 12 July 2014 (EDT)
- You can disregard the previous request; I checked the photo and saw that glN64 0.4.1 was used.
- The proper plugin is angrylion's RDP plugin. glN64 just enhances the textures afaik. -Einstein95 (talk) 23:25, 12 July 2014 (EDT)
Jynx Virtual Console Changes
Literately made an account just to ask this, since I can't find much info on it elsewhere. The article mentions Jynx's face was changed from black to purple, but her hands are still black, despite them both being purple in modern games. We have images to prove it, so I'm not disputing that, but this image, and this video do show it with purple hands. So it seems Jynx may have been changed again for the Switch virtual release to correct her hands, or perhaps their was a patch update for the Wii version?--MechaMew5000 (talk) 01:52, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
