This page details one or more prototype versions of The Smurfs Travel the World (Sega Master System, Game Gear).
An extremely late prototype was found and dumped by Bock, dated 12th August 1996. There is only one known difference, marked by a single byte.

Moved Crystal
As the Master System game is a port of the Game Gear version, there was a minor oversight with the crystal found at the bottom left of the first level in Australia.

Since the screen doesn't move over to the left as much as it does in the Game Gear version, the crystal can barely be seen here, especially against the gray background. It was moved over in the final, so that the player can actually see it clearly.
