This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.

This page sucks.
If you could make it suck less, that would be awesome.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5 is a 2.5D fighting game and the fifth mainline entry in the original Ultimate Ninja series. It's also one of the few Naruto games to be officially released in English but not have a dub or a US release.

Unused Cut-ins

Cut-ins are the character images that appear onscreen after performing jutsu specials. All of the Shippuden-era characters have them, but none of the Classic-era characters do. Despite this, cut-ins for Naruto Uzumaki (Classic) and Sasuke Uchiha (Classic) are present in the files.

Debug Mode

NUN5-Debug Menu.png

It appears to have a manga illustration at right and it would be able to put any character in battle (without going to the Free Battle menu), spawn, put awakening, and more.

Minigames

There was supposed to be a minigame menu similar to the one in Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3.

Unused Ultimate Jutsu

Kakashi doing the Kamui is not used, but does exist in the files. Re-enabling it shows that it is incomplete: there are no filters, the opponent that would suffer does not have a good animation, and the intended audio is absent (instead using the audio for Lighting Blade: Single Sharpness).
