Unused Character and Weapon
The GameShark code 800FE293 0010 (US) or 800FE3C3 0010 (EU) allows you to play as Kitana.
Kitana was in the works as a console-only hidden character, but was not finished. However, the N64 version still has her model in the game, as it's the same character model used in Liu Kang's ending, which is merely a rehash of Tanya's model. Note that her portrait will freeze the game if played in Arcade mode, but in battle she's fully playable, albeit with a limited move set. Some of her voice samples are also wrong, using the male voice set instead of the female.
Kitana's moves and fatalities are as follows:

Unused Stage
The GameShark code 800FE55B 000A (US) or 800FE68B 000A (EU) will enable you to play in the Skull stage. The stage itself is fairly barren and has some problems using the proper music from round to round, but it has some nifty textures and has a giant skull in the background with flames lit up in the back.
Using the provided code will make the stage appear black at first. You'll need to select the "Restart This Match" option in the pause menu to get it to appear properly.
Unused Text
PlayStation Text
L1 L2 R1 R2 SQ TR CI CR
Some text in the options menu refers to button keys from a PlayStation controller on the N64 version. Not too surprising, seeing as how it was on both platforms.
Soak Test
START SOAK TEST
The text between the CHEATS menu and the option menu choices indicates that a Soak Test was also available in this game at one point. In the Genesis version of Mortal Kombat II, the Soak Test in the Cheats menu let you watch full matches between two CPU controlled opponents. Currently, it is unknown whether any code still exists for a Soak Test, so it is unknown if it is a similar mode or not.
Kombat Kodes
KODE 9: RANDPER KOMBAT KODE 12: 4 PLAYER RANDPER ILLEGAL KODE 13: NOOB SAIBOT MODE
Two codes specifically go unused here. Kode 9 proves they were trying to include Randper Kombat à la Mortal Kombat 3. Kode 12 shows some kind of second Randper Kombat Kombat Kode that may have been for the 2 on 2 matches, as there is nowhere else that has four participants. Strangely enough, Kode 12's description is commented as "illegal" for some reason. Kode 13, Noob Saibot Mode, is redundant in the N64 version, but is used in the PlayStation version. In the PlayStation version, setting this versus screen code was part of the process to unlocking Noob Saibot as a playable character. In the N64 version, this code is unnecessary.
