Just like last time, hook up your PlayStation Portable copy of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA 2nd and spend some extra money to get a better version of the game. Notoriously, Sega made the game 3939MB by putting a ton of unnecessary filler content (most of which comes from Project DIVA Arcade). ...At least your handheld doesn't have to be constantly connected anymore!

In the file HMPDDT2.dat, if it's viewed in a hex editor, every single hex number is 39, referencing how 39 can be pronounced as "Thank you" (lit. "san-kyuu" in Japanese), and can also be pronounced as "mi-kuu" in certain circumstances. This is also most likely here for dummy data to make the game 3939MB.

More Movies

The unused movie file format makes its appearance in this game as well. But in addition, another movie file was added in the code, but still ended up unused, called diva2_cm.wmv. This is most likely Diva 2nd's opening.

It appears that remix_parent made its first appearance in this game, also unused. However, in this game it does nothing. It still exists in Diva F and Dreamy Theater Extend. It only has a function in Project Mirai.

If attempted to load them in-game, the game crashes, since Arcade's .dsc files work differently from Dreamy Theater. These are rather not planned songs, but may have just been added to make the game 3939MB, as these were removed from Dreamy Theater Extend, except in gm_pv_list_tbl.farc. End of Solitude's dsc file is for the animated PV, and not the version featured in the next game. Two of them also have unused stage models. Depression of Cybernetics (PV208), and PV212 is what appears to be Colorful x Sexy's stage. The Depression of Cybernetics stage was removed in Dreamy Theater Extend, but the Colorful x Sexy one was kept with the same file name since the song is used in the game.

Dreamy Theater 1 Songs

Every song in the DIVA 1st list that's not in the DIVA 2nd list in-game, like Love is War, oddly have charts ported from Arcade outside of the dt1 directory in the script directory.

Encore DSC

The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku (Dreamy Theater 2nd version) has the encore dsc again like in Dreamy Theater 1. However, this time it has data. It's unknown what it does, as it crashes the game if attempting to load it. This is the only song with an encore dsc. It was removed from Dreamy Theater Extend.

Unused Cameras

In auth_3d, there's some cameras present for the unused Arcade songs with full data. They are Multiple Future Quartet -Quartet Theme- (CAMPV102.farc), Holy Star -2010 DIVA mix- (CAMPV205.farc), melody... (CAMPV206.farc), saturation (CAMPV207.farc), Depression of Cybernetics (CAMPV208.farc), Water Colors (CAMPV210.farc), and Iroha Song (CAMPV211.farc). It is unknown why these are here, but it's most likely for making the game 3939MB. However, melody...'s and Iroha Song's would be used in Dreamy Theater Extend with the same names.

Unused Models

Depression of Cybernetics

Within objset > stgd2pv208.farc is an unused stage of the song Depression of Cybernetics. This is the only song from Arcade that has a stage present. Either it was planned to be included as some kind of special song to the game, like the live edition World's End Dancehall in Dreamy Theater Extend, or it was just added to make the game 3939MB. There's also a stgd2pv208s01.farc for it, but it's just a flat square for the images. It was removed from Dreamy Theater Extend.

Colorful x Sexy

For some reason, Colorful x Sexy's stage is present in stgd2pv212.farc and stgd2pv212s01.farc for the people in the background. This was later used in Dreamy Theater Extend with the same name.

Rin and Len Extra Songs

Dreamy Theater 1's pv_db codes for the Rin and Len versions of Song of Life only still exists. However, a new one was added for that and Song of Wastelands, Forest, and Magic as well with proper coding to fit with Dreamy Theater 2nd. The original Song of Life coding also changed the song file from .aix to .ogg. These ended up unused because they now use a code called ex_song to load them by simply changing characters at the Miku version.

PoPiPo Hand Items

There's a set of disabled hand items for PoPiPo that appear to be a Vegetable Juice bottle and a Juice Box. It's unknown why this feature was removed. If it's restored to the song, they don't appear at all because hand items aren't enabled at any point in the dsc files.
