Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 expanded on its predecessor by adding follow-up smash hits and a new melee-focused mode called Raging Soul. The game never got updated despite having tons of glitches, some of them even game-breaking.

Unobtainable Pre-Order DLC Enhanced Costumes

The game received 3 DLCs obtainable only by pre-ordering the game. These were 3 sets of Enhanced Pre-costumized character, which also happened to have exclusive costumes (re-colors of already existing outfits). The outfits were not useable by the -regular- characters, these were only for the Enhanced pre-customized versions, with lots of ability items equipped that made them much stronger.

  • Saiyan Pack 1 from Pre order bonus that came with Goku, Teen Gohan and Gogeta. (3 costumes)
  • Saiyan Pack 2 from Pre order bonus as well that came with Vegeta, Trunks (Sword) and Vegito. (3 costumes)
  • Limited Edition Pack from Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 Limited Edition that came with Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Android 17, Android 18, Broly, Bardock and Turles. (8 costumes)

These pre-order DLCs have been essentially lost to time, due to the game itself not performing super well in terms of sales, and no backups have been made. The only way to play with these pre-order recolored outfits is by hacking.

  • On Xbox 360, it's possible to edit a save game in order to unlock these costumes, by exploiting a glitch to load invalid save data. When the game tells you that the data is corrupted, just answer "no" and proceed to play without creating a new save file. Due to an oversight, the game will load the modified progress anyway.
  • On PlayStation 3, both a modded save file and a patch are necessary. The patch basically prevents the game from deleting the DLC Enhanced Costumes from your data when no DLC installed is detected.

You can find a YouTube playlist showcasing all these costumes here.

Version Differences

On March 9, 2011, Toei Animation posted an official statement regarding the existence of multiple musical pieces composed by Kenji Yamamoto which were suspected to infringe the rights of third parties. In response to this situation, Toei fired Yamamoto and started removing his tracks from all official works, including Raging Blast 2, whose soundtrack was entirely composed by him.

By late Summer 2011 (nearly a year after the game was originally released), a new version of Raging Blast 2 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 was silently released which included an entirely replaced musical score. Notably, the initial version's opening theme ("Battle of Omega") was replaced with the international replacement opening theme from Budokai Tenkaichi 2.
