The fourth and final Guitar Hero release for the Nintendo DS, it brings in the band-based gameplay of its console counterparts to the handheld, with the addition of drums and vocals. It's also the only game in this DS subseries that can be played on DSi or 3DS, as the drums and vocals portions don't require any additional peripherals.

Regional Differences

Band Hero's DS incarnation features an entirely different (and arguably better) setlist from the console versions, and following on from previous DS Guitar Hero games, track selection varies from version to version. Of the 45 song setlist, 30 of these are shared between the North American and European versions. The following is a table showing each exclusive song, in the order they are listed in the game.
