Weapon Names
There are projectiles that are reserved for the enemies and cannot be used by the player. The player can access and use these by hacking, but their names cannot be seen in the game otherwise.
Projectile Name | Notes |
---|---|
Needles | ID 0x09 in weapon inventory. Used by hostile bushes, such as in the western desert of Zaratan. |
Arrow | ID 0x0A. Used by archer and a trap in Al-Naqqil. |
Non-tracking rock | ID 0x0B. Used by rock enemy in the Old Dungeon. |
Rowboat Placeholder Text
When first visiting your ship, the rowboat is accessible but cannot be used. Due to a bug, if you go below deck and return, a trigger will appear for the boat and you can use it. The game will ask if you want to go to isle is 0 and if you do go there, it takes you to your hometown Zaratan and you will be stuck out of bounds in the top-left corner.
By hacking, it is possible to change the ID of the area to go to when using the boat. The complete area list can be found on the notes page.
Item Placeholders
In your inventory, items with IDs 4F, and 60 to 66 will show up with the Potion of Healing sprite and a blank name. See the notes page for an item list.
Misplaced Objects
There are misplaced objects in some maps.
Manual Inconsistencies
To do: The manual made an effort to point out which enemies were "new additions". Which means there must be a predecessor game where the same enemies already appeared; Confirm this. |
Some of the information found in the game's manual is false or does not apply. For example, it states that Miniature Copper Automatons are enemies that can be fought. However, this is not true as the only place they can be encountered is in the New Dungeon in Bandar Palace where you are not permitted to draw your sword or use moonshards.
The "experience given" value in the enemy descriptions is not correct. For example, the manual states that Air Elementals give 35 experience points when they actually give 60.
Revisional Differences
Version 1.0 was distributed on five floppy disks, and version 1.1 was distributed on CD-ROM.
Music
Music tracks have been improved. Version 1.1 added MIDI support. The tracks listed here use Sound Blaster.

Bugfixes
- In certain instances in the game, the hero and/or NPCs could get stuck in walls during cutscenes. These instances have been fixed in v1.1.
- On certain old computers, the game would crash when entering the password on the copy protection screen or after potions have been drunk due to an audio file being opened but not closed. This was fixed in v1.1.
- When fighting water elementals on sea, the player could leave the ship via the row boat during or after the fight. Doing so could cause the game to become unwinnable. In v1.1, the player can no longer leave the ship during the fight; however, the bug can still happen if the player first beats the water elementals and then goes below deck and returns which would cause the trigger for the boat to be loaded.
- Other undocumented minor bugfixes.
