So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?
See, this is why server preservation is important.
This game/console's online features are no longer supported.
While this game/console's online features were once accessible, they are (as of April 8, 2024) no longer officially supported and online-exclusive features may be documented as now-unseen content.
Hmmm...
To do:
Some stuff:
  • Oddities and Errors
    • Higher model poly count in Yo-kai Watch 1 flashback scene graphics, likely leftover from late builds
    • Komajiro with purse texture sheet oddity
    • Typos in Russian version, put in Translation Errors
    • Gimme's voice clip saying "Swipinstuff" in English version.
  • Even MORE music file oddities and mixups...
  • Unused "pre-battle" version of the YW1 battle music, even though the full song is available in music player.
  • Even more unused and leftover unobtainable Crank-a-kai/Befriended Yo-kai Quotes...
  • More Regional Differences; different unlockable Psychic Specters Yo-kai Watch: The Movie settei art.

Yo-kai Watch 2 was what really started to elevate the franchise to a pop cultural success (well, at least in Japan). It is considered by many to be superior to its predecessor, as it includes better mechanics, an online-trading system and more consistency to the anime and manga series. This game also introduces more Yo-kai to collect (including version-exclusives), new locations, and even some new minigames. Psychic Specters also adds in consistency to the first Yo-kai Watch film, Yo-kai Watch: The Movie.

Both t121d05 (Corresponding to San Fantastico) and t201i05 (Corresponding to Old Springdale) have placeholder minimaps, these are just a simple flat color with (仮) written on them.

To do:
Get a screenshot of the unused train station map.

A small unfinished river area that was likely going to appear somewhere in San Fantastico.

Unused Sounds

Hmmm...
To do:
Is this in the Japanese and Korean version? Also upload the files for every language.

Gargaros warning the player to not change the 3DS' System Clock. While the sequence does appear in the game, it's not voice acted. Interestingly, it was translated into every language in the European version.

Hidden Details

Manga Book

The manga book cover used in a cutscene is "Inazuma Eleven: Tanjou Monogatari", a Manga Biogrophy based on Akihiro Hino, the CEO of Level-5.

Oddities

Flashback Image Oddities

Hmmm...
To do:
Take comparison images in YW1.

The flashback images are slightly different from what actually appears in the previous instalment; many of the models have a higher poly count!
