X-Men Legends is an action-RPG based on the Marvel Comics characters. It was successful enough to spawn a sequel, as well as three spinoffs focusing on the wider Marvel universe.

Unused Character

Angel was originally going to appear as a playable character, but was cut for unknown reasons. He was mentioned in pre-release material, and Andre Sogliuzzo is credited as voicing him in the instruction manual. Only his sounds and powerstyle remain. He would appear as an NPC and boss in the sequel.

Unused FMV

Exclusively on the GameCube release of the game is an unused cinematic titled "r311.sfd" with an earlier model of Debra Owens and a much larger bitrate and resolution than other videos. In it, a panicing Owens reports "It's been confirmed, the asteroid is headed for Manhattan Island, and may god have mercy on our souls! Oh, my God!" with the transmission cutting out.
