Unused Graphics

TEXTBMP.BMP is a grey box containing the text "HEY YA BUDDY".

TILES001.BMP is a background most likely intended for the Tile Game.

SCOREBD.DIB is a grid background suggesting the game's original title was going to be "Word Attack 3", the first two games being Word Attack! and Word Attack! Plus.

SPRITE.VES and TEST.VES are two identical files containing sprites for what appears to be an early version of the game's mascot. Their palette is unknown, so the image provided here is in greyscale.

INTRO.VES is another set of sprites with an unknown palette featuring the same character.

Revisional Differences

The game was rereleased in 1997 as Ultimate Word Attack. This version uses a different title screen and a main menu which simply lists the activity names instead of displaying them on a space station. However, it also includes more vocabulary options than the original's "Beginning", "Intermediate" and "Advanced". Specifically, the new options are "Challenge" (a mode even more difficult than "Advanced"), roots and prefixes, "Test Prep", and "Special", where the player can choose words in a specific category, such as geography or sports.

The game was also rereleased in 1997 as Reading Blaster Vocabulary which is otherwise identical to the original release, even still using the Word Blaster title in-game. To make things even more confusing, a different game using the same logo, also called Reading Blaster Vocabulary, was released in 1998.
