This cactus is UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
See, this is why game preservation is important.
This game is defunct.
Do note the game no longer works at all without modifications. This is most likely due to the game's servers being shut down (as of June 30, 2023). As a result, further official developments with the game are unlikely to happen.

Math Blaster was the title of a 2011 online Math Blaster game, set in the modern continuity and featuring Max Blaster and GC. A half-month notice was given before Knowledge Adventure shut down on June 30, 2023 taking all their games with them (except for Neopets apparently).

Hmmm...
To do:

There is unused stuff in rollback and web.

There is a lot of unused stuff from World of JumpStart (character states, mythie types, etc).

Unused Areas

Hmmm...
To do:
There's probably more.

ScienceCenter

This area has the same music as the Spaceport, indicating that it may have been used as a base. It also has a portal to Morph Madness.

The area resembles a hub where there are some areas such as small grassy areas that may have housed some creatures, a giant telescope (drawing resemblance to ScienceLand in World of JumpStart), and an area in the center where, judging by the shape of it, may have housed a small funzone. There is a fish tank underneath the funzone area, and it is easy to fall off and land on some geometry placed below the map.

There is a return portal that likely would've led back to Morph Madness, but instead it simply teleports you back to your spawn location (not talking about the obvious Morph Madness portal).

MBMMO ScienceCenter.png

There is also a character placed in the area called SizeRef02 and was likely used as a size reference.

MBMMO ScienceCenterSizeRef.png

Hangar

This area has no music and is very unfinished. There is poor lighting, missing collisions in the area below the floor, and a giant piece of untextured geometry floating some 200 units out of bounds. There is a portal that would've led to World of Jumpstart (but instead leads to Spaceport), and a collision that leads to Galaxy Grand Prix. There are labels associated with these platforms labeled "Go to JumpStart" and "Space Racing" respectively, and these labels render on top of all other geometry. Oddly enough, this room is in the game's MMO rooms list.

There are two ships here: Max's Shuttle and the aforementioned untextured BlasterStarShip.

Unused Audios

Max's Voicelines

Hmmm...
To do:
Upload the rest of them.

The Max NPC in Spaceport cannot be interacted with and therefore his voicelines go unused.

Unused Features

Trading

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: The menu is not functional, but would trading otherwise work?

There seems to be a trading feature that was cancelled. There is still reference to it in the code and it still has files present. The menu appears to be incomplete as it is not centered, you can still move and interact with things behind it, you can't interact with any of the buttons, and loading the menu prompts you with an error message. Changing scenes will remove the menu from the screen.

Intro Cutscene

There is a cutscene that used to play when logging in for the first time. At some point (probably during the transition from webplayer to standalone), this scene was no longer played. It still exists in the files and is fully functional.

Disco Alert

Disco Alert was an event where a disco ball would descend from the ceiling and cadets would "drop what they were doing" and start dancing. It was likely only ever used during Cornelius's visit, however, it could be triggered serverside at any time, so it may have been used on other undocumented occasions.

Disco Alert can be triggered using the console.

Debugging Features

Console

Main article: Math_Blaster_(Online)/Console_Commands
Math Blaster has a console that can be opened with Ctrl + Shift + ~ and requires a password to be inputted before running commands.

Oddities

Red Alert Portal

There is a Red Alert portal under the spaceport, likely shoved under the map after a layout change brought the amount of red alert portals from 3 to 2. This door does not open when Red Alert is called.

MBMMO UndergroundRedAlertPortal.png

Orange Larva

MBMMO OrangeLarvaRender.png

There are 5 used larva colors: Pink/Cyan, Yellow/Blue, Green/Blue, Cyan/Green, and Purple/Pink, which are associated with the Eyeclops, Ickasaur, Grubble, Griffin, and Tweeter, respectively. But there is also an Orange/Mint larva texture that goes unused. It is unknown what species this would've morphed into (or even what it's ID would've been).
