Pinyin

Please do not remove the accent marks from Chinese transcriptions. Chinese is a tonal language and requires them to note which tone to pronounce a character. --From: CounterDiving (talk) 02:50, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Chinese? Do you mean Japanese? -- From: Zlblosser20 (talk) 09:57, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Changes

Can you describe the changes you're making to the "Prerelease:Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire" article? Why are you shifting around the tables? Minibug (talk) 06:52, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

For the Stats section, I'm arranging the tables in the National Dex order. As for the Dex entries, some numbers are missing, so I'm adding the missing numbers. Zlblosser20 (talk) 10:50, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

Why does the table need to be in National Dex order? The files are in Internal ID order, so it's more consistent to keep them that way.

Some numbers are missing from the Dex entries because they are listed as "Undiscovered" category with no Dex entries, so there is no reason to include them in the table.

Why are you adding Gen 5 hidden abilities to the table under "final abilities" for a generation 3 era chart?

How come you are modifying the romanizations for some of the Pokémon to just be the name of the Pokémon? It's supposed to be a reflection of how the Japanese is pronounced for people unfamiliar with kana.

Minibug (talk) 05:13, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know these abilities were added in later games. You can change the order of the Stats section back to the way it was before. Zlblosser20 (talk) 11:53, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

And as for the names, I'm only doing the ones of Pokémon whose names are the same in both Japanese & English (such as Pikachu, Caterpie, Arbok, etc.). Zlblosser20 (talk) 1:23, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Could you send me the link to the source of the Pokédex entries? I REALLY want to see it for myself. Zlblosser20 (talk) 1:23, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

About your recent edits.

I am writing you this message because your edits to the "Prerelease:Pokémon Gold and Silver/Sprites/980506" are just getting really out of hand:

  • Firstly, please stop making repeated very small edits. It only pads out the "History" tab and makes it hard to pinpoint when something in particular was changed.
  • Secondly, you keep reverting some bits to things which make no sense. Namely, 319 being a Stantler pre-evo... it's a boar, not a deer. And no, it having antlers is not enough evidence.
  • Lastly, when comparing scrapped designs to Pokémon introduced later, make sure you have actual arguments. For example, 360 is just a sword-wielding flying squirrel, there is nothing that links it to Sentret beside the shared animal basis. Meanwhile, 386 is a tiny Koala which sits on a branch, it shares a similar appearance to Komala so we can safely draw parallels between the two.

Co-signing this as an admin. I've received complaints about your continued disruptive edits to the Pokémon pages, and I'd like to request that you stop. Further complaints will lead to disciplinary action. --Rusty (talk)
The Internal Index Number page is for final game data, not speculative info or mixed in with prototype data. Your recent edits to the Red and Blue prerelease page have been anything but useful. Thus, you have been blocked. Please stop adding fan speculation to the pages, as this is against wiki policy. --From: CounterDiving (talk) 22:43, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

You are flooding with tons of small edits

You have been told about this already, please stop making repeated very small edits. It only pads out the "History" tab and makes it hard to pinpoint when something in particular was changed. Use the PREVIEW button. ReyVGM (talk) 02:11, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

Moreover, you've already been warned about this and several people can actually see this in action both on here and Discord. It's recommended you make a document in which you save your stuff first, then commit all to the wiki on one larger edit. You don't need to make edits just to monotonously add a few rows at a time to a table. It would be more productive to confirm what has changed between commits in a repo before copying and pasting between pages. --From: CounterDiving (talk) 02:20, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

Image Tagging

Hey there, quick reminder to please tag images when uploading them. If you don't know how to do that then I invite you to check this page here: Image Tagging Guide. FrenchOrange (talk) 23:58, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

Pokémon Gold and Silver Prerelease article

Please preview your edits first before submitting them. We've noticed you have been trying to muck with the tables to add various things, but end up messing up the formatting for them. Moreover, the Internal # refers to how the Pokémon are organized in the game's data, whereas Dex # is what shows up in game. Don't mix these. Adding the menu icons for what is a listing of internal sprites makes no sense, as it has nothing to do with the sprite comparisons. --From: CounterDiving (talk) 19:03, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

I'm only adding the menu sprites. I don't understand why my contributions are always negatively received. I'm just trying to help, why can't anyone see that?! --From: Zlblosser20 (talk) 19:06, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
The menu sprites don't make any sense because it doesn't fit in the context of prerelease sprite comparisons. We know you're trying to help, but your edits often come off as inaccurate or unneeded. --From: CounterDiving (talk) 20:10, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
Please give me another chance, I promise I'll make more helpful edits. --From: Zlblosser20 (talk) 12:30, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
Please wait for 3 months and try practicing edits elsewhere first. --From: CounterDiving (talk) 21:18, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
Those sprites you tried to add are from a completely different source than the Spaceworld '97 demo. Besides, please refrain from touching tables if you don't know how to use them. Did you just not learn anything from the time you were banned??? FrenchOrange (talk) 00:13, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
