Touch My Katamari centers around The King's ego being shattered after he hears a boy on Earth compare him to his principal. And yes, you do indeed touch the katamari.

Unused Cousins

Touch My Katamari's character roster differed from the past games, due to some of the cousins' designs being fused. In the files of this game, three different unused cousin fusions can be found.

Ouji ID Cousins Model Notes
KD5_OUJI08 Havana + Lalala
Havana's model
This cousin's face is off-centered. Was presumably replaced by the Lalala + Colombo fusion
KD5_OUJI12 Honey + L'Amour
Honey's model
The only cousin fusion to not have either of their cousins used in a final fusion. This cousin's arms are not visible in her t-pose, as they are completely obscured by the large orbs.
KD5_OUJI22 Nickel + Kuro
Nickel's model
Lacks a proper "face" area. The facial features are simply on the metal, unlike Nickel or Kuro. Was presumably replaced by the June + Kuro fusion. However, a very similar design known as "Robo-Prince" appears in one of the game's DLC levels, The Great Journey.
Robo-Prince, who bears a heavy resemblance to the unused fusion

Scrapped DLC Stage Icons

Touch My Katamari's splash screen, which includes some of the unused icons.

Within the base game's files are icons used by the Hidden Katamari Fan to represent the game's DLC stages. Despite there being only 9 DLC stages, there are 20 icons, so 11 of them aren't used. However, some of these icons were featured in the game's artwork. Note that some of these icons were used in other promotional material, such as the game's start up screen. However, these solo versions are never used within the gameplay. The presence of these icons could suggest more DLC stages being planned, but ultimately being scrapped, presumably due to the game not being commercially successful.

Katamari Forever Leftovers

Katamaris

Touch My Katamari's stages all use pre-existing Katamari designs from the previous game, which was mostly We Love Katamari's katamari designs. Despite this, many of them are left unused in this one, including an early version of the We ♥ Katamari credit's sun katamari.

Cousin Sounds

Though the cousin models for cousins not in Touch My Katamari aren't in the game, the sound files used for rolling them up are.

Oddities

Parameter Files

Within the game's parameter files, the Make It Big stages go from "big01" to "big09". "big06" is completely skipped over (not to be confused with the used Make It Big 6 - Workers, which is "big07"), likely meaning a Make It Big stage was cut.

In addition, parameters for one of the game’s DLC stages, Downhill Race, are present, with its level model pointing to a dummy one. Its presence likely means it was supposed to be in the base game, but was cut and finished up for the game's DLC, likely due to time constraints.
