So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

Splinter Cell is a stealth action game based on the works of prolific author Tom Clancy. As Third Echelon operative Sam Fisher, you must spy, steal, destroy, and assassinate across 9 missions in order to protect American freedoms.

Unused Characters

Hmmm...
To do:
Figure out exactly how many, there is a ton.

Resources for a number of cut characters can be found in the Windows version of the game.

Unused UMP45

Textures and a model for an unused UMP45 is in the game files called "maingun". Note the filename as this may have been Sam Fisher's weapon instead of the SC20K. This UMP45 can be briefly seen in one of the game's news broadcasts with the launcher removed and it appears to have been cut fairly early as the gun's textures will turn solid white if near a light source. For the purposes of screenshotting it in-game, console commands were used to replace the model of the F2000 with the "maingun".

Unused Level Screenshots

Several screenshots of cut levels from an early build of the game were left in the final build's files for unknown reasons. Worth noting is that one of these images shows a bald Sam Fisher.

Debug Menus

Two debug menus can be found and turned on which allow the player to see things like an FPS counter and a visibility meter to enemies. the first debug menu can be found by opening the console and typing "STEALTH". The second debug menu can be found by typing the command "STAT ALL" in the console. This menu is composed of several little menus all on one screen displaying properties for things like, animation, sound, and textures.
