The Bouncer is a cinematic beat-'em-up from Dream Factory and Square, the same partnership that brought us the Tobal games and Ehrgeiz.

Hugely anticipated from its initial announcement alongside the unveiling of the PlayStation 2, The Bouncer is a classic example of overpromising and underdelivering.

Regional Differences

  • The Bouncer features English and Japanese audio in all regional versions of the game (interestingly, the Japanese version defaults to English audio). However, the text and subtitle options differ: the Japanese and North American versions come with English and Japanese, while the European version features English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.
  • During the segment where Kou infiltrates the Mikado HQ, some of the physical actions he performs to the other guards change between the English and Japanese versions.
