True Skewer
In "True Skewer", I think the "spicy tuna rolls" in the Japanese version are actually Konjac, which is a commonly used ingredient used in food such as oden. --Gilbert (talk) 09:57, 6 January 2014 (EST)
- Translating the game's name in the Japanese version reveals that it actually is konjac! Good catch there. I was initially confused as to what it could be, so I checked online (Mariowiki) without actually translating the name first; I'll have to learn to check the actual game first, rather than rely on other sources. Thanks! Moof (talk) 15:48, 6 January 2014 (EST)
Banjo
In the music editor, one of the instruments is referred to as a "banjo" in the version I have, but it looks and sounds to me more like a shamisen. I suspect it was renamed from "shamisen" to something similar that would be more familiar to international audiences. Could someone look into this and see if this is truly the case? --Plastiware (talk) 09:08, 29 March 2014 (EDT)
Version Exclusive Comics
Some of 9-Volt's comics are completely different in the Japanese version. -- ( Cdudeiscool | contribs ) 19:25, 18 July 2014 (EDT)
- Specifically, Mr. Ghost, Princess Kaguya and Birdman. -- ( Cdudeiscool | contribs ) 16:49, 26 July 2014 (EDT)
- I'll get them. --DoubleDenial (talk) 08:50, 21 January 2019 (EST)
Wii
18-Volt's Games
18-Volt's games are different in the Japanese version. "Punch-Out!!" was orginally "Card Hero", and "Kid Icarus" was "Freshly-Picked Tingle". -- ( Cdudeiscool | contribs ) 19:50, 4 May 2014 (EDT)
- Hey, isn't anyone going to comment on this? -- ( Cdudeiscool | contribs ) 17:53, 17 June 2014 (EDT)

Trading Dilemma
The article clearly said "these four microgames can be played in any version via DS Wireless Communication," but I can't trade them at all! What do you think is wrong? -- ( Cdudeiscool | contribs ) 19:46, 29 May 2014 (EDT)
- Unless you're trying to use Nintendo Wi-Fi, I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't be able to play them via Wireless. --AquaBat (talk) 23:18, 29 May 2014 (EDT)
Unused Songs
Is the music for the boss intro in the D.I.Y Shuffle unused? --8SomaCruzes (talk) 15:24, 1 September 2014 (EDT)
- I don't believe there is a D.I.Y boss intro on the DS.
- Listed three times in the sound file. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6iWVLaKjZk&list=UUIeNdsV52BULpqt6w80TfqQ --8SomaCruzes (talk) 18:57, 2 September 2014 (EDT)
- I found all the other songs! -- ( Cdudeiscool | contribs ) 15:01, 1 October 2014 (EDT)\
- I checked it today on my 3DS. It actually is used for the "mix all" sections, or at least I'm almost certain it's the same track. I think the other ones are from the Wii version (judging by comments)? The last one seems to suggest that there were plans for an editor on the Wii. (I don't have the Wii one, but there isn't an editor, right?) --DoubleDenial (talk) 08:50, 21 January 2019 (EST)

Wii
Bosses
The Wii version's boss stage names are, in order, "Pass the Bomb", "Oh Nose!" (XD), "Giant Bug", and "Chiritorie". -- ( Cdudeiscool | contribs ) 19:50, 4 May 2014 (EDT)
- ...And? Are they different from the Japanese versions? There's really no need to point them out otherwise, since they're part of the game. --AquaBat (talk) 23:15, 4 May 2014 (EDT)
- The article clearly said "Also go over the D.I.Y. Showcase boss microgames, for they also have the unused stuff these ones have, but in addition have names that are never seen unless imported to the D.I.Y. save file through a save editor, since you can't import them normally," AquaBat! -- ( Cdudeiscool | contribs ) 19:54, 7 May 2014 (EDT)
- Does the game not typically show the titles of boss stages, or does that only apply to the preview pictures and descriptions (as mentioned in the article)? --BMF54123 (talk) 23:42, 4 May 2014 (EDT)
- DIY Showcase does not show the name of the boss microgames when you're playing them. Also, they each have a unique cartridge, description, and preview picture just like the DS boss microgames, and again, you can never see them. I was actually holding off DIY Showcase information because I wasn't sure if we needed to make a new article for this information or if we were going to put it on the existing page. By the way, what DIY Showcase version are you using? Someone already extracted the boss microgames from the game's WAD, which I assume was NTSC, and the names I'm getting for the microgames are, in order: "Bombs Away", "Picket Ship", "Caterpillage", and "Dustpan". --Goomther (talk) 00:51, 5 May 2014 (EDT)
- Chiritorie is the game that 18-Volt's Boss game is based on, I believe, and it's been referred to in previous WarioWare games (mostly Mega Microgame$!). Other than that, I can't tell the difference. Are you sure that was the American version that the names were extracted from? --AquaBat (talk) 16:23, 5 May 2014 (EDT)
- Also, in the last panel of the Giant Bug comic, a guy is seen playing the Wii, with the bug on the screen. So let's revise this:
- "Bombs Away", "Picket Ship", "Giant Bug", and "Chiritorie". -- ( Cdudeiscool | contribs ) 13:21, 2 August 2015 (EDT)
- Not sure if your talking about me or not, but I got the extracted DIY Showcase boss microgames from the same guy who coded a save editor for the DS version (CrygorTool to be exact). I'm guessing the guy above got some other version, most likely the Japanese version, for those aren't the names I'm getting when I look at the files.--Goomther (talk) 17:30, 5 May 2014 (EDT)

I'm going to do a complete playthrough of the Japanese version to note any differences
Just wanted to note this. What began as a quest to find out something about the comic "Similarities," I found it would be easiest to just play the entire game. So, if anyone wants to see something specific, go tell me. Or use a save editor, I don't care. --DoubleDenial (talk) 22:45, 20 January 2019 (EST)
- Edit: It's turning out to be a differences gold mine. I'll add some of the changes I found already soon. --DoubleDenial (talk) 22:48, 20 January 2019 (EST)
- I never got around to writing these down. I'm almost 100% certain that a lot of the text in this game was pretty much entirely rewritten during localization, but I'd need a Japanese speaker to confirm that. I have a lot of differences, but not enough time to write them all down. Maybe one day. --DoubleDenial (talk) 20:57, 13 October 2019 (EDT)
- Normal text throughout the game altered for localization purposes is not typically covered, otherwise we’d have numerous pages stretching three miles long covering dialogue differences. Feel free to post examples here in case certain important details are altered or lost completely and people can discuss if it’s worth including on the page. —AquaBat (talk) 13:38, 30 October 2019 (EDT)
