developer edition

hey everyone, this article is missing a bunch of information. please see these links and photos. unreleased cars

there are two cars that have been found, one is pemto, see: pemto a second one is a Ferrari Modena. see: http://revolt.wikia.com/wiki/Ferrari_Modena these 2 quotes state why it was not included: "The Ferrari we couldn't include as the license to use the design would be expensive (ironically half of the team went on to work on an official Ferrari 360 Modena game straight after, but we didn't complete it as there were development complications with Ferrari)" the second one says "I made both the Modena and the Pemto car...I think there was an idea to try to tie in a Ferrari car because we were going to be working on a Ferrari game after ReVolt. Sadly, that car never got released, probably because it would have cost a lot to get the licence." it is currently unknown why pemto was not released. the last thing is a bunch of links to beta cars/tracks http://revolt.wikia.com/wiki/Zebra http://revolt.wikia.com/wiki/RC_X http://revolt.wikia.com/wiki/Demo_Cars (Excerpts of Joe Groombridge reply to the email of the revolter Stefano: "I think our marketing department were looking at different angles to get our game seen and talked about. Most of these ideas never happened but the artwork is still floating about. [...] I was asked to do some alternative skins for existing cars that were tie-ins with gaming magazines to try to get them excited about the game.")

older edits

there is a developer edition for this game, see: this page. it seems to have what appears to be leftovers for a game called forsaken, with a hoverbike called bird, but quoting the page " Besides the track selection screen, there's a box containing several CD cases of Forsaken. Judging by that, the Developers were really wanting to include a piece of Forsaken in Re-Volt.", there is a bike model hidden in it but there is also leftovers in this version for a game called extreme g 2, lastly I have spotted a file left in the version, in the gfx folder, you can spot a file named "germansponsors" clicking on it shows a company named tvmovie, a German television and movie company, and a company called Kyosho, a remote control model company from Japan. could this mean that Kyosho remote control cars were going to be in the game? and what is a tv corporation doing in a game about remote control cars? please advise. (in case anyone needs to know, I have the version from revolt race. -- amdcrash (talk) 11:29, 27 December 2017 (EST)

Prerelease

Should we already seperate the prerelease stuff to its own article? --Yethiel (talk) 07:12, 30 March 2015 (EDT)

Ready to edit this article.

I have the vanilla unedited version of the game (somehow works on Windows 10 to my surprise), along with the separate builds (PC Gamer/CGW, PC Team, Rolling, Acclaim/Gamespot/IGN, and DEV). There's a shit ton to cover, and a lot of screenshots to take. Relax, I'll be fine if anyone cared.

Is it as such? I'm going to help with cleanup, cause that's like the only thing I do in this wiki XD -Phrossi (talk) 17:34, 9 November 2016 (EST)
