Is this real?

There's a dispute going on on tvtropes as to the veracity of a certain allegedly dummied conversation which "suggests that Lysithea and Ferdinand's Paralogue, 'Retribution', was supposed to be available on the Crimson Flower route, and the dialogue is similar to that route's version of 'The Legend of the Lake'" I don't go to this fandom so I don't even know what half these words mean, but can anyone confirm/deny this? --wingedcatgirl (talk) 17:45, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

After checking a recent dump of that Paralogue's script, at the very least I can confirm there is no dummied out text suggesting it was meant to be available in the Crimson Flower route at one point. The closest thing hinting that could have been the case is the chapter having a Defeat Condition for the Crimson Flower route, which can also be found in other paralogues which don't make sense to have happen on it (like Gilbert & Annette's). --User:Blackress (talk) 03:26, 5 July 2020 (UTC)

Count Varley early name

I was looking at the official FE3H website and saw that Bernadetta's bio calls her father something different. Her father is called the "Earl of Varari" on the site. How many people know of this? Is it worth putting on this page?

Interesting discovery, though the information seems to be something more fitting in Bernadetta's trivia page in the wiki rather than here. --User:Blackress (talk) 19:08, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

"Discard item" warning

If a character receives an item while their inventory is full, you can send it to the convoy or discard it. I believe one of the updates added a warning when you switch to the "Discard item" prompt. Does anyone know when this was added in? Magic (talk) 15:29, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

The wiki lists the change happened with the version 1.0.2 update. --User:Blackress (talk) 19:08, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

Unused Monster Classes?

Sereneforest.net lists the existence of Three Monster classes I don't believe are ever used in the game; King of Fangs, King of Beasts and King of Wings. While there are specific monsters in a few auxiliary/grinding maps which bear those specific names, the fact the site even provides an unique description for the classes makes me suspicious (that, and it has inadvertedly discovered unused content for previous entries in the past). Can anyone dig into the game's data and corroborate/debunk their existence? --User:Blackress (talk) 21:12 25 April 2021 (UTC)

I can confirm that they are included in the strings for class names and descriptions (they're in the very last of the non-DLC non-placeholder slots, after the various other monster classes), with the text matching SF's, but would need someone else to check in on the more mechanical side of things to see if they have any other surviving data. The Kings definitely use the standard Giant Wolf/Wild Demonic Beast/Giant Bird classes in battle in the final game, though, so this does seem to be unused—good eye!
Here's the corresponding text for them from the Japanese script, btw, since the SF page doesn't include that:
Name (EN) Name (JP) Description (JP)
King of Beasts 獣の王 理性を失った野生の魔獣の中で特に強い魔力を持つ魔獣の王。
King of Fangs 牙の王 魔力を取り込み巨大化した狼の中で特に強い魔力を持った狼の王。
King of Wings 翼の王 魔力を取り込み巨大化した鳥の中で特に強い魔力を持った鳥の王。

Subpage organization

With the way the subpages are set up at the moment, it isn't entirely clear what the distinction is between Unused Text and Unused System Text in some cases. How about renaming Unused Text to Unused Dialogue and moving the non-dialogue sections of it (everything from Unused Full Names to Resource Texts, as well as Early Guide) over to Unused System Text? --Zyxyz (talk) 13:04, 26 May 2021 (UTC)

Sounds fine by me. The dialogue and system text don't really serve the same purpose anyway, so there's no reason to keep them together on the same spot. --Blackress (talk) 16:17, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

Generic Dark Flier & Unused Weapon Icons

So, the page only mentions that out of the DLC portraits, the Female Trickster and the War Monk/Cleric are unused but after trying to sieve through the content, I don't know where the generic Dark Flier is used at all, I know it isn't in any gameplay battles because the icon is unused but I genuinely couldn't find it anywhere in the overworld. Is anyone able to find it as well? And if so, do any of them have unused models, or is it just the portraits?

Secondly, I notice not all of the unused weapon icons are shown, but I'm not sure how to upload their files. I believe the missing ones are the Agarthan Bow Fists, Ring and Gem, according to Fire Emblem Wiki as well as gold, silver and black for all 3 magic types. Should they all be added too? Thanks 〜〜〜〜

The Dark Flier's portrait is used for an NPC that can only be seen if the player's unlocking the Wayseer feature but Hapi has been already killed previously.

As for the other graphic stuff, sure! Feel free to add all the missing icons so far! -- Blackress (talk) 01:15, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

Infernal Difficulty needs to be tested more + Silence Oddity

A friend of mine was toying with the scrapped Infernal difficulty recently, and by sheer accident, they discovered that Silence doesn't do anything in this difficulty for some reason, even if it manages to hit the intended target. Given other gameplay elements like the accuracy of bows is tweaked for Maddening difficulty, it's likely Infernal might've been meant to come with its own set of changes as well before it was scrapped, so future testing might be in order. -- Blackress (talk) 14:06, 25 August 2021 (UTC)

More potentially unused UI icons?

I was looking through some spriterips of various UI graphics (mostly monastery-related), and I found some more icons that seem like they might be unused, at least as far as I could tell? I did my best to doublecheck in-game and with game footage, but given the scope I figured it'd be prudent to ask whether the other page regulars here happen to recognize any of these as used graphics before I add them to the main page for real.

Nope. Don't recognize any of them, so they have to be unused (sorry for the late reply). --Blackress (talk) 14:36, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
