More Unused Graphics

Just chucking these here for comments/further research before adding them.

Dmpl-bg0.PNG Dmpl-bg1.PNG Dmpl-bg2.PNG Dmpl-bg3.png
These are loaded for 4 frames after pressing Start in Dr. Mario, in different layers.

Dmpl-pause.png
An unused Dr. Mario "PAUSE" graphic that was ditched in favor of the animated one.

Dmpl-wanking.png
Found with some of Dr. Mario's menu graphics.

Unable to replicate this. Note the otherwise unused menu graphics. All I can remember on this one is it's something to do with Puzzle League's menu. I got it to work on the Japanese version as well.

About the Puzzle League demo

The Puzzle League demo in this game is actually a slightly modified version of Nintendo Puzzle Collection's Panel de Pon demo, which actually came out 2 years prior to Dr. Mario and Puzzle League. There's actually a Health and Safety warning in Dr. Mario and Puzzle League's version of the demo, along with a completely different title screen. The unused "Try Again?" message is actually used in the demo. And in the Japanese version, everything beyond the title screen is exactly the same as in Nintendo Puzzle Collection. I suggest checking it out if you want. --Starz Lol (talk) 18:04, 27 November 2016 (EST)

Where can this demo be found? --Hiccup (talk) 07:44, 5 September 2017 (EDT)
In the ROM as a multiboot binary. The game lets you send a cut-down version to another player via the link cable so they can try the game without owning a cartridge. As Starz mentions, the same demo can also be found in Nintendo Puzzle Collection. — Vague / Rant 07:47, 5 September 2017 (EDT)
