Early previews of Ușas in magazines show far different character portraits, as well as different stage backgrounds and overworlds, the latter of which were probably cut due to the limited ROM space available (1 Mbit).
Overworld
The entrances as shown in the previews have a far more photorealistic design as opposed to the final game which have a flatter 2D design.
Stage Backgrounds
The stages as shown in the magazine previews are in various stages of completion. Some, however, feature completely different backgrounds that would be either cut from or edited down for the final game due to storage constraints.
Character Portraits
The character portraits as shown in the early previews feature completely different designs than those seen in the final game.
In the November 1987 issue of MSX-FAN, while the game appears to be in a farther state of completion compared to earlier previews, the Latin font used for the top bar and character portraits are still different from the final game.
