The inventory graphic for the Hand Gun differs also.
See the Games Masters section for another look at the early Jill portrait and Hand Gun.
Video #2
Pre-release | Final |
---|---|
The title screen is drastically different from the final. The "PRESS ANY BUTTON" text, using the same font as in Resident Evil 2, is still present on the final disc.
Video #3
A short clip of the game can be seen at the 40-second mark.
- Below the emergency staircase, there is only a single pallet, the door of the truck is opened and Jill retrieves the area map from it. In the final version, a second pallet blocks the truck and its door is closed, while the map is on the wall. Note that yet another version of this area exists unused in the game's data in which the door of the truck is opened and there is a second pallet in front of it but it is smaller.
Magazines
Consoles+ #090
A preview from French magazine Consoles+ #090.
- In the middle of the first page, the screenshot in the street uses a camera angle not used in the final game, although it is still present on the disc.
- On the bottom-right of the second page, in the office screenshot with Nemesis, Hand Gun ammunition can be seen on the desk. It is Shotgun Shells in the final version.
Next Generation #056 (August 1999)
Pre-release | Final |
---|---|
A good look at an early version of the street area with in the back a single pallet and the door of Kendo's Gun Shop truck opened. Note also the placement of the zombies feeding on another zombie's corpse; in the final version they are located further down the street, not visible from this camera angle.
