Metal Gear Solid: Rising is officially revealed to the public at E3 2009. Only a 45 second teaser trailer was shown, and it included little to no information about the game.
2009 info
Metal Gear Solid: Rising was supposed to release the same day as the console versions. Quote from a French game website "Konami vient de confirmer une rumeur persistante depuis l'annonce de Metal Gear Solid Rising : le jeu sortira également sur PC, en même temps que les versions console." Which translates to "Konami confirmed the release of Metal Gear Solid Rising on PC at the same time as the console release."

2012
E3 2012
2 Trailers showcasing gameplay from around this time were shown, with a multitude of differences. Although, the general gameplay appears to be similar.
As can be seen, things like the HUD and Blade Mode effects and color were changed. A handful of unused lines from Boris also appear in the second trailer. Raiden also seems to constantly have a lightning effect around his body, and can seemingly scale larger walls. Although both areas in the trailers are used in the final game, the objectives shown in the trailers for the player to complete are not. Probably for demonstration purposes only.
