Now with an even longer name, Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy - Deluxe Edition is an enhanced port of Layton's Mystery Journey. Due to the drastic change in systems, some changes had to be made to make the experience more accessible for a normal controller.

Hmmm...
To do:
Since this game is just a port, most of the unused stuff is already documented on the 3DS version page
  • Compare the puzzle list to the one in the 3DS version since some puzzles were replaced
  • Mobile/3DS leftovers
  • Document the new NFC functionalities that were removed from international releases

Unused Graphics

Debug Puzzle Border

Inside img/nazo_mask.xi is what appears to be a debug version of the border used in every puzzle.

The text describes a puzzle about two monsters lost in a maze, however the last line translates to "The maximum number of letters is 17", which is used to see how many Japanese characters can fit in the puzzle description.

DLC Placeholder

Just like in the 3DS version, this image is repeated a total of 12 times in the menu directory. The text reads "DLC image (temporary)". The only difference from the 3DS version is that here the image resolution is 512×288 instead of 256×144.

Early Synopsis Touch Screen

Just like in the 3DS version, img/synp_bg_l_TX.xi is an old version of the Touch Screen that was used in the synopsis. It still uses the old game logo and has borders on the sides with the text "Sample".
