GuitarFreaks V & DrumMania V are notably the first Konami games to run on their Python 2 hardware, which is... really just a PS2.
It introduced many quality-of-life changes, such as higher-resolution graphics, proper video support for songs, and a new, improved chart format which allows for very precise syncing.
NOTE: All of the paths take in consideration the filesystem extracted from each of the game's .pak files.

Unused Graphics
Placeholder Textures
NOTE: All of these can be found within data\product\d3\model.
IDX_COT is a placeholder nametag texture. It can be found in multiple files, as follows:
- tex_gf_hitchart.bin
- tex_gf_information.bin
- tex_gf_result.bin
- tex_gf_result_total.bin
- tex_gf_scoreranking.bin
- tex_gf_select_music.bin
In a similar vein, IMG_COT is a placeholder banner texture. It can be found in two files; tex_gf_result.bin and tex_gf_select_music.bin.
Overdump Data
Many early banners, both for songs and categories, can be found inside of unreferenced files in the filesystem.
Hash 141240cc
Contains graphics that are roughly equivalent to those in the final tex_gf_idx_image_05.bin, tex_gf_idx_image_06.bin and tex_gf_idx_image_07.bin, starting from ID 0836 (Daikenkai). Aside from the early banners listed below, several more things are notable:
- Ringo to hachimitsu 's banner is completely missing in the early package.
- In the early package, there is a gap between the banners of the songs Ukifune and Yakenogahara. Following the series' master song list IDs, the song meant to be there is super "shomin" car, which was removed from this release.
