See, this is why game preservation is important.
This game is defunct.
Do note the game no longer works at all without modifications. This is most likely due to the game's servers being shut down. As a result, further official developments with the game are unlikely to happen.

Microsoft's Game Room let players fill a virtual arcade with fully-playable arcade, Atari 2600, and Intellivision games. While the virtual arcade and Game Packs were available for free, the games themselves were each limited to one free play with a 10-minute time limit, after which the player could pay for each additional further play or to buy the game outright.

While Microsoft had promised that there would be a total of 1,000 games released in the first three years, Game Room was closed down after releasing a shade under 200 across 13 Game Packs, all in 2010. One factor that likely led to its demise was the inclusion of a number of 2600 and Intellivision games that cost far too much given their simplicity - a setup taken to absurd and insulting heights when Game Pack 13 included Venetian Blinds of all things.

Hmmm...
To do:
Unused graphics.

Unused Game

Strings, cabinet textures, videos, and ROMs for Sunset Riders are present in Game Pack 12. The game had been advertised as being part of said Game Pack, suggesting it was dummied out at the last minute.

The fact the game was dummied out despite all the promotion likely didn't help Game Room's reception. The fact it was followed by the aforementioned attempt to get people to buy Venetian Blinds likely played a role in Game Room being shuttered.

<String id="SUNSETRIDERS_INSTRUCTIONS" text="You play as one of four bounty hunters: Steve, Billy, Bob, or Cormano. Your objective is to collect as many bounties as possible. Steve and Billy are armed with Peacemakers, which are great for fast shooting, while Bob and Cormano are armed with Shotguns, which have wider shots. You can shoot while jumping and crouching. Use the Move buttons to aim your shots. Make your way through the levels taking out the enemies to get to the outlaw with the bounty on their head. Take them down and collect the bounty.\n\nAlong the way, you can find gold bonuses and collect power-ups. Piles of gold coins or roasted turkeys award the player with bonus money, while collecting the sheriff badges will award power-ups. The gold sheriff badge gives you 'Rapid Fire,' which allows the Shoot button to be held down for continuous fire. The silver sheriff badge awards you 'Dual Fire,' which gives you a second weapon for double the shots and damage.\n\nIf you are hit by an enemy, you will lose a life. Some enemies will also throw dynamite, but you can throw it back at them before it explodes by pressing the Shoot button. If you lose all your lives, the game will end." />
