This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.

Forza Horizon 2 (as the title suggests) is the sequel to the first Horizon game. This time around, there's a larger focus on off-road racing, and as such the game features large open spaces for the player to drive on. While the Xbox One version of the sequel was once again developed by Playground Games, the Xbox 360 port was outsourced to Sumo Digital. This was also the last Forza game on the 360. And as confirmed, there is no DLC for this version.[4]Although the Fast & Furious version is present for this version as a standalone game, the Furious 7 Car Pack was only released on the Xbox One.

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Check if there was DLC planned for this version
  • Document Presents Fast & Furious, it had some differences

Placeholder Sound

In Media/Audio/Placeholder/Placeholder.fsb, a placeholder sound can be found, internally called ERROR_1. As the name suggests, it's a placeholder sound designed to take the places of other sounds that were yet to have been made.

Platform Differences

Hmmm...
To do:
The demo has differences in each version.

In Il Tricolore Aereo, you drive the Aston Martin Vanquish. However, in the Xbox One version you drive a Ferrari 360 Modena (Lamborghini Huracán in the demo version) instead.

The demo gives you the choice between one of four starter cars: the Dodge Challenger RT, the Lancia Stratos, the Subaru Impreza WRX STI or the Bowler EXR-S. The Xbox One version only has three starter cars: the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, the Audi RS 3 and the Bowler EXR-S.
