Unused Animations

Dillon

jiroHDHRFlower00

jiroHDHRFlower00 is an animation that was supposed to be used somewhere in the hotel room, for when Dillon is supposed to be interacting with the flowers.

All Dillon does in the hotel room is just sit on the bench or the chair, leaving this unused.

jiroHDChair00

A sitting animation for the chair in the hotel room, where Dillon is looking off in the distance.

All Dillon does in the hotel room on the chair is sleep.

jiroHDHRC01Greet00

A waving animation for the jiroHDChair01 animation, it's supposed to be used for when Dillon waves at the player while asleep.

He doesn't wave at the player when interacted with while in the "jiroHDChair01" state.


jiroFlItem01

An alternative item use animation, where Dillon injects something.

This animation was meant to be used for unused syringe health items in the game.

jiroHDWait12

A unique idle animation for Dillon that was meant to be used during the recruitment process in the hotel after a period of time while waiting.

jiroHDWait41Tk

jiroHDWait41Tk is a talking animation for Dillon that was supposed to be used in one of the cutscenes for one of Seadok's missions.

This never plays, and it only will show Dillon sitting and nodding at the children (jiroHDWait41 and jiroHDWait41Nod), and the cutscene will end after that.

While the animation is used, only the beginning portion of the animation can be seen in-game, as the game will fade to black when Dillon dies while in the pursuit phase as soon Dillon hits the ground, and it will play a cutscene of Dillon's death animation which is very different compared to this animation.

dillonTest.vpl

There's quite a lot of test animations inside the .vpl, showcase all of them.

Found in dillonTest.vpl are various test animations for Dillon.

Three of them are labeled, dillonTe0, in which Dillon's hat stays in it's rest pose without being hidden.

A 3 hit combo test animation.

dillonTe02

A Shoryuken uppercut animation.

dillonTe03

A spinning slash animation.

TestWaitPose

Poses 1, 2, 2B, 3, and 7 are animated, while 4, 5, and 6 are left static.

Russ

Outside of the one trailer cutscene at the beginning, Russ doesn't sit anywhere else in the game (While there's a chair at the garage, Russ instead stands on it rather than sitting on it) leaving these 3 animations unused.

An unused walking animation where Russ is tired.

rissEvHandsh00Tk

Russ doesn't have any dialogue while handshaking the player Amiimal character at the beginning of the game or during the cutscene where Russ and player celebrate when Dillon wins in the speedway race, resulting it being unused.

Amiimals

Found in tailMotionTest.vpl is a model with two test animations for an Amiimal named kmBodyM_mot and KmTailM_mot.

Garrison

Garrison has a animation called nBtnTest00, which cycles through 4 static poses while his eyes blink indefinitely.

Scrogs

The Scrogs have an animation called nMnjTest00, which cycles through 4 static poses.

Sal

Sal has two animations called nClerk_waitTest and nClerk_waitTest02, both of which are the same animation. Which is just a static pose.

Anton

Anton has a animation called nCty01Test00, which cycles through 3 static poses.

Betty

Betty has a animation called nCty00Test00, which cycles through 3 static poses.

Panthado

Panthado has a animation called nCtbTest00, which cycles through 6 static poses.

Hairdresser

Despite never being added into the game, some animations for the Hairdresser can be found in nHdr.vpl, which are just the idle and talking animations.

Reporter

Similar to the Hairdresser who is also never added to the game, some animations for the Reporter can be found in nRpt.vpl, which are just the idle and talking animations.

Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger Leftovers

AMD.vpl and AMDpreview.vpl both contain animations for Dillon from Rolling Western, they only work on his Rolling Western model that is leftover in AMDMdl.vpl.
